GTP Keeps logging out

GTP keeps logging out after about 2 hours. About every 2 hours, GTP randomly logs me out. It's been happening for about a day and a bit now, it could be because I changed my password today. Does this happen to anyone else, or is it just me?

It keeps happening every time I close the tab/window. Is it to do with my cookies?
 
Did you tick the "remember me" button? If you didn't, you will be logged out everytime you close a tab/window.
 
It's always been ticked, and it always will be. Even if I keep the same window open for around 3 hours it still logs me out.
 
Well were you still using GTP when it suddenly logged out? If not, then you should know already. If you didn't touch the browser for an hour, it will log off for you.....

I did touch it, I was just browsing another 'tab' in FF for a min then it logged me out.

Mmmmm..... could be your browser that is causing the problem or might be the site that your surfing. Have you tried using other browsers to see if the problem still persists?

First of all, I'm going to change my password back. Let's see whether that works.

I think it did, I changed it back to my old one and now it's not logging out.
 
If you had changed your password, you would have needed to revalidate your account via email. If you never validated it, that might have caused troubles that have gone away now that you've returned to your old, validated password.
 
Or could it be that your browser has the wrong password remembered?

FF should update when you use the new password but maybe you should try deleting that particular cookie and logging in again, so that it asks you if you want it to remember this password.
 
I was being logged out in the gtp search engine and i was using firefox 2. If you dont have firefox 3 then download it and see if the problem persists. If it does then it could be as Duke said.

It's probably because of that, the problem dosent seem to happen anymore. I'll be ok with my old password, just changed it for a one-off time

It's probably not that, I cleared it last night again just to see what happens and it didn't help.
