GTP LFS Contest Week 2

Welcome to the second week of the GTP LFS Contest.

Car: Formula XR
Track: South City Classic (Standard)

You must complete your laps in the Hot Lapping mode. Any lap which is considered valid by the HLVC is valid for entry into this competition. Save the replay of your fastest lap, you must submit it as proof of your time.

You are free to discuss split times for your laps in this thread, but please do not discuss lap times. Feel free also to discuss and share setups.

Once you're happy with your lap, PM your time and replay to me. Please only submit one time per week.

The competition starts now and ends in exactly one week. The deadline for this week is 10pm GMT on Saturday the 17th of June 2006.

Yeah thats great. Can I add my hotlap I already drove? Of course I'll try to improve my time :D

Erm couldn't find you on the server a little while ago. Were you racing on the server where they drove south city long or so? Had a look at my buddies list but couldn't find your name.
 
So far with a bit of practice I've done a split of 23.19, but I'm sure I can get 23.0x.

I'll post a setup later so that some of you can try it out, it's quite good.

The trick is to get as much speed as possible on the straight (start lap in 6th as you start hot lap), keep it straight through kink. Brake very hard on first turn, and get a very tight line around the corner (close to inside), through chicane I don't lift at all (throttle at full), and then in last turn, I only lift (no braking).
 
yes... very little room for error on this track :)

i just tried a few laps. i've been racing the xrt mostly so this will take a bit to adjust to. sofar i havent even broken into the 41 second range. very close tho... best sofar is 42 flat. [EDIT]
 
I totally forgot about it as well and since I never got any entrants there's no winner this week. I won't be doing another one, there seems to be too little interest.
 
Maybe we could find another group of people similiar to us, who have theyre own server and race series and join them.
