I just happened to read this old post from 2001;

..the GTPlanet server is transferring over 1 Gigabyte of data every day..

So how many GB are being transferred every day these days?

Or is this a case of 'I could tell you but I'd have to kill you'.

Heh... how far we've come.

We now push 1 gigabyte of data every five minutes (roughly 288 gigabytes per day, or ~9 terabytes per month).

Gosh! I didn't think that the "I'm never going to play this game again" threads would be using up so much data. I suppose it is an endless sea though.

Seriously, it does show how popular the site has become. Top stuff indeed. 👍

I won't go into detail on capacity, but we have sustained several multi-gigabit DDoS attacks. Sadly, these days, most high-bandwidth events for sites like GTPlanet is generated by attacks, not traffic.
