Steward's Comments:

This is a unique 4WD car, it should make for smooth driving. Careful not to drift too wide in parts.

Race Clean, Race Hard 👍

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • All GTP members in the race lobby are still required to follow the Acceptable Usage Policy and conduct themselves in the same manner as posting on the forum.
  • All Hard Surfaces are considered Track Surface. This includes tarmac, red and white rumbles, and concrete. You are expected to drive clean at all times as if you are racing in the Weekly Race Series. All participants are required to follow the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules & Guidelines. Do take the time to read it as all participants will be held accountable for their actions.
  • Race Stewards reserve the right to boot any driver from the Race Room for driving offensively. If you ignore any warnings from the Race Steward and are booted from the race room, you will receive 1 Infraction Point which will get logged at the GTP_Registry Disciplinary Log. Three strikes are you are banned from the GTP_Registry.
  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • Runoff areas are not part of the track
  • Limit your contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we all want clean racing and it's up to you to ensure there is. Along with the GTP OLR Race Stewards that will be watching the entire race. They will communicate any concerns via a headset or chat and it is also your responsibility to listen and respond to them accordingly.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

Illegal Use Of The Track:
  • All is track, just try to stay off the walls as much as possible, especially before T2.

Thread Rules:

  • Any AUP Discussion is fine, including settings. Please remember if you have any preferences or tips for future events, they are always welcome 👍

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

  • If you are unsure of when the race starts, try this site.
  • You can also view is a visual layout displaying the different time zones here.

Race Incident Reporting:

The Race Stewards will save each and every race. However any disputes between drivers must be dealt with via PM. If a resolution is not found, then PM the Race Steward who hosted the event.

Race Stewards will constantly be looking out for any intentional and malicious driving, but we can't see everything so include this information when it's necessary to PM your Race Steward as a last resort per Section 17: Complaints, in the OLR Rules & Guidelines:

All complaints relating to a racing incident must follow this procedure:

1. Contact the driver concerned privately (GTP_PM or PSN_PM)
2. Discuss in a manner that is normally acceptable here at GTP (AUP)
3. If a complaint cannot be resolved privately then as a last resort contact a GTP_Race Admin
4. Name PM subject title 'Racing Complaint'
5. Supply Members PSN_Tag
6. Supply Date & time of incident
7. Supply Event type
8. Supply Car driven by driver

Haha!! Great title Jerome, interesting combo too.

Personally I feel that the reverse version of Rome is slightly better for racing, but the track in either direction is great so nice combo 👍

Slightly worried about a maxed out Lambo with no downforce though :scared:

I'll be there on satuday anyway, have the day to myself so unless someone offers me free beer and meat I'll be there all day! :D

Race ya later chaps.

Race Clean, Race Hard tyres 👍[/COLOR]
Why not?:sly:

I won't be there though. Lucky you. (Not that I'm fast, just that I can't get in any of yours way :dopey:).

It's not too bad with no DF because of the 4WD and putting R3's on or even R2's should make it easier.

Superb track AND Superb Car 👍
Looking forward to this, and to host my first OMRS :sly:

I may pop in for this (I've only just discovered this part of the forum :dunce: ) I have found Online racing good fun, no idea why I'm only starting to do it.

I spent an hour looking on the GT5 Tuning Forum and this is all I could come up with. I hope you find something you can use :scared:

Speedy I thought this was not allowed????

This is one topic I've simmered on for a while and I've come to the conclusion that even though I dont want it to be a tuning competition, and it's fairly easy to find tunes for cars nowadays and the WRS shares settings freely, why not the OMRS. I'll change that rule 👍

Thanks for putting in the time to gather those settings Speedy :)

Sorry, I think I looked over that rule :scared:

I would start with Praiano's, definitely.
Looks awesomely fun, nicely done guys.

600pp, no aero, everything else?

That pretty much sums it up 👍 Hope to see ya out there dude.

Jerome, correct my PSN tag bro. It's GTP_Mafiaboy, not GTP_Mafia_boy. Don't want 15 people going to the wrong room. lol.

I've been practicing this combo, lots of horsepower! The transitions from tarmac to brick surface can be tricky. Without the added aero package this is going to be a good test of throttle control. This think can get away from you quick and what to swap ends if your not smooth with the throttle. I haven't yet done 25 laps straight without looping her.:scared:

I just had a thought, can this thing go 25 laps without a pit stop? Guess I'll just have to try it and find out.

To answer my own question, no fuel stop needed in 25 laps. Rear tires could be a close call. Could be interesting in the race to see if anyone pits for fresh rubber near the end.

/\ It's a tough call. In my testing I did R2's but it's much easier to drive on R3's, yielding faster and more consistent times. But pitting puts you back about 25 to 30 seconds not counting traffic so it's a toss up.

Hi there Jerome, pitting will cost some time, but I'll have such a lead it won't matter.:sly:

Most likely I'll be at the back of the pack nursing the tires home.

Sorry about that buddy, it's fixed. I'm just underscore happy I guess

Jerome

No worries, just asking dude. To be honest I believe the settups Speedy posted will be usless dude to lack of rear down force.

/\ Good point Mike.

Here are my settings, they aren't the best I'm sure, but it makes it easier to drive and hopefully lessen the rear tire wear with the softer initial torque in the rear:

Suspension:
-15 -5
7.5 15.5
6 7
2 4
2 4

Camber/Toe:
1.0 0.0
-.25 .15

LSD:
10 5
50 50
20 20

Transmission:
205mph top speed

These settings got me 1:04.3s in qualifying and 1:04.9s in the race.

Lemme grab my car and a room will be open shortly, still eating me dinner, so if I take a little while to respond to you, I'm not ignoring you! No mics tonight, after the problems with lag last time.

I'll try to join Sureboss' room! Only had the chrome line, so I'll go buy the regular one.

Just went to watch race and I think it's crashed, Cpt_D/Graviton, you guys kicked?

Such a crashy game. Infuriating.

yep, kicked. Thought it might have been my connection, but I guess not.
