Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Getting closer... So I think @EDK told me the method is the divide the negative (in my case -0.349 by 5) and then minus that from your current handicap, to get your new handicap. You can get your current handicap by adding the R number, by the negate or positive handicap gained, so by my maths, my new one should be around 2.182...

Correct?

Well done everyone, another handicapped win for @thesmallpup and a great overall time from @mistersafeway

Well done all who achieved their goals

I don't think your method is totally correct or I'm not reading it right, so here's the one from the FAQs.

"Handicaps are only updated after races has been marked as "official" (as the WRS Admins need to remove DQ'd submissions to ensure the times considered are valid). When the race is "official" your new handicap is calculated with the following formula:

( [your existing handicap] * 5 + [latest handicap you scored] ) / 6"

I can't remember how to download someone's replay to verify. How would I do that? Thanks.

***Found it. Was clicking on the wrong "Results" button.***

Have a look back at your historical and you will see what he described is what is happening now.

In any case, those numbers are going to be very similar. Just different ways of getting there.

Example:

1/5 = 20

((1x5) + 1)/6=20

You're right that it will be similar, I used that FAQ method to estimate my new handicap after last week and it was exact. Although does that mean that positive handicaps don't have an affect on your overall handicap?

Congrats to mistersafeway for the win with a great time and Meisterfetz rounding out the podium
and Well done to all other drivers for a nice close finish 👍
