Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Alright, I just gave my replay a final watch before sharing it and I found two errors that I hadn’t noticed before. One, which probably isn’t a huge deal is that I submitted a total time of 1:36.684 when that actual lap was 1:36.682. The other is a bigger issue, I didn’t realize before submitting that I miss the back of the apex curb slightly in T4, so the lap is actually no good at all. I apologize for not realizing it sooner, I watched the lap a half dozen times before today and didn’t see it it before.

What I’m wondering is this, I have a lap saved that was my best lap before the one I submitted that is 1:36.700 that I can share/submit in place of that lap if that’s possible;? If not I fully understand and again I apologize for missing the error before.

Edit: I shared the 36.700 laps just in case that one can be substituted for the .682 lap. It’s tagged gtpwrs087, essentials, pineapple.

You're right, there are times we have allowed small typos in submissions in the past.

However, the lap you submit needs to be clean, we can't allow a substitute lap that's clearly not a typo. That's simply consistent with how we've always done things. If it was a more nuanced ruling I would involve others in this, since I stand to gain from a disqualification.

You're still of course welcome to share your replay for someone else to validate your findings.

EDIT: And I will share my replay as well, when I get home from work.

Ok Both laps are shared under, gtpwrs087, essentials, pineapple. I definitely miss the curb on my submitted lap, I’ll pay more attention in the future.
