An enjoyable ride through the streets.

Time submitted.

From my post in the OP hotlap thread:

If I understand correctly. The wt penalty is in effect throughout the entire race week, ie. Opera Paris. It does not change from Hotlap to Race. I think I should have the 1% penalty because my time was faster during the Trial Mountain Race due to Drift not submitting a hotlap time and getting the additional 20 added to his race time. I'll run with the 1% anyway until Viperin gets back to a computer and rules on it.

And PB should use the 5% with CAMikaze at 3%, I think. Because they finished 1 & 2. Viperin and Drift get 0%.

Thanks for the assistance oldmodelt, in my haste to try and fix up the results from Qualifying I panicked.
Above entry list is quite correct except for some minor adjustment required to ST class points.

Have not started yet, probably will do my usual and take a couple of hours on Sunday to concentrate on races then.

Glad to help the munchkins in OZ. I know how you feel. You check and double check and it can be right in front of you. Don't go to the trouble of redoing the spread. Just make the corrections and have them reflected in the OP results. You gots to have time to race. :)

Time submitted.
Ran in 2 x 14 lap sessions, did 14 laps last night while my nephew was being bathed and put to bed, paused it and left the PS2 on, then finished the remaining 14 laps tonight during the same period.
Able to run on +8 AI for 200 points and comprehensively whup the field containing 3 TVRs, and Aston V8 Vantage and Callaway C12 by some margin, pitted twice and managed a fastlap within 1s of my qualifying time. 👍
Quite happy overall. :)

Got up yesterday at about 7:00 am and went to work. We only work half-days on Saturday. After work, went to the county dump and got rid of a bunch of recycling. Then I went home and took shower. Drove into Baltimore for an all-day street music festival and had...oh...maybe 3 beers over the course of 4 hours?

My girlfriend eventually joined me, saw lots of people I haven't seen in awhile, yada yada. This lasted until maybe 7-ish. Went to an Afghan restaurant where I had the Vegetable Korma and lots of laughs. My girlfriend (Jen) is trying to kick cigarettes but has become a real chocolate addict, but she feels incredibly guilty about it. She (for whatever Godly reason) bought a gourmet chocolate bar yesterday, ate half of it, and left the other half on somebody's front step. I guess you had to be there, but all of us at the table (there were 4 of us) couldn't stop laughing & busting on her cuz of this! I don't understand her at all sometimes, but that's why I love her :yuck:

After restaurant, we went back to a bar wehre I had 2 vodka/cranberries. Came home (finally). It was now maybe 11 pm.

Girlfriend went back to her place and I went to mine. She has some wedding shower or something today. Some 🤬 like that which I'm glad I didn't get involved with. I wound up staying up ALL NIGHT with Krispy Kreme iced chocolate donuts (mmm). Did I do any racing? NO! Instead I got involved in the summer-long RPG (Elder Scrolls: Oblivion) I've been playing on and off all summer.

Fell asleep maybe around 5 am. Woke up at 9:30 am. FINALLY getting to the races with a partial hangover and not enough sleep. Fortunately my roomies are all asleep or gone. Really wishing I had gotten at least ST done earlier, but ya know....

:dunce:

During my St race, rated +6, I drove like somebody who had spent the previous day drinking & dining after getting off work, and then stayed up all nite. Yikes. Thank SS this is just a shorty! The race itself was entertaining. I figured the Mazda RX-7 Infini III and Nissan 240SX would tangle up the lead with me, but surprisingly it was an '87 Buick GNX that led most of the laps, and jack-rabbited about 6 seconds ahead of me after the first pit. Weird.

"oldmodelt's plan is working to perfection." :trouble: PB falls asleep next week at Sarthe  and he squeaks by with the win. Now, how to get rid of the other guys. :dunce:

G'Day all,
Results up.
I have a similar excuse to PB for my poor showing this week.
I am on Holiday, also my wife and I celebrate our Birthdays this week( for the whole week ! ).
I also went away Camping, and did not leave enough time to do Race justice.

Round 9 @ La Sarthe 1 up soon.

driftking18594, you had me if you didn't do that extra pit. You just didn't want the 1% penalty. :ouch:

Nice race Smallhorses!

Once again, you had your Nissan Z really humming on race day!

I had quite a decent race with my Camaro. It actually wasn't too bad at Opera Paris. I left maybe 5 seconds on the track since I only had time for two race attempts, but really had decent times.

I ran against level 6 AI competition, and once again was pushed by a Lotus Esprit Sport 350 for most of the race, though by the end it had fallen away. I did lap three of the other cars (I'm not sure about the 4th, I will have to check).

I had one bad moment on about lap 24 when I was lapping the Mitsubishi HSR-II Concept. Just after I passed it, the Mitsubishi decided to hit me! I sweated for an entire lap that I was going to get a DTP, but luckily I did not.

See you all at La Sarthe!
Respectfully,
GTsail

Nah, I would have probably understeered all over the place. The track really seems to suit the lightweights. Still, I managed to beat viperin, and now I'm 4th in the championship (yay...).

Well my GS race, the Mustang did get one DTP (FPE, whatever). It sucked but I was NOT about to start all over, as I earned this force-pit late in the race, and by this time I had already had a couple false starts, as well as the ST race I had previously done. My nerves were shot; my wrists in particular were screaming at me "NO MORE RACING TODAY!"

...At least Paris doesn't have as long a force-pit as, say, Infineon or Laguna Seca does.
