I really like these old benzes, and they're tanks to boot. Easy cool, maybe not enough for an SZ but they're great cars.

Easy million miles while still retaining class and usability at the same time. Robust luxury at its finest like LS400 or W140. But by far the prettiest of them. SZ

I always thought this was a very nice car. Not mind-blowing in any sense, but also not boring and mundane. I am also uncertain if certain kinds of people drive these cars to where their value is diminished. This one's easy for me- Cool.

One of my older cousins used to collect these. Said they were cheaper than when he collected Saabs. Solid Cool.
I remember Car & Driver had customised a beige-yellow wagon. Really liked these era Benzes.

It's not my style, but it isn't too bad. As always, Mercedes cars were extremely advanced for the 70s -80s. A bit boxy, but the coupe makes the same car look totaly different. Meh, it's not bad but I don't totally like it.

For me, it's the quintessential Mercedes.

Cool.

Ah the world's best taxi. This is car is a solid cool. Not because of its style, which is rather too understated for my tastes but because it took over-engineering to new heights. Imagine buying one of these in 1976 and still having it as your daily driver.

I particularly liked the way they gave the round headlamp versions, outside of the US that is, a nice smooth finish. Something other luxury German manufacturers would do less successfully 14 years later.
