GTPDC dfp division idea

i was wondering if u could split it to 2 divisions, 1 for ds2 users and the other for dfp and make it open so if a dfp drifter wants to challenge himself against ds2's they can...also people could register for both if they hav both controls đź’ˇ

bcuz u cant do exactly the same things with both of them so i thought it would be fair if you split it up :nervous:

It won't be fair because we have alot of Ds2's drifters that can do better than the DFP sometimes, it just all bases on how much you practice for the competition for battle, the more you practice the faster line you can find and more showy(swift I got you ) the drift cane be sometimes and I think this is the longest paragraph I have typed.
 
How about a new division for DFP users; not splitting up Pro and Am, but just making a new division entirely.

I think we should keep it the way its always been wheel and controller users mixed in because nota lot of people get thier entries in and it turns out to be only 3 pro's so not alot you can divide.

i'm of the same opinion as ryen. So far there have not been enough participants to warrant a separate division for DFP's. And from my own experience with both controller's, I think the pro's and cons of each kinda balance them out.

What could be done to disquise members with DFP's is just hide the wheel in the replay (turn off wheel display in race options), if that's the concern.
 
I agree with TankSpanker about the pros and cons. DFP and DS2 both are good for some things and bad for others, or atleast some people make mistakes with one or the other. Either way, I think it's fine the way it is now, and I'm just waiting until I get a capture card so I can participate ^_^

ahha i feel i hav a little disadvantage going up against ds2 drifters ^_^

a paragraph? more like a sentence. Use punctuation...that was almost pathetic.
 
If you honestly feel at that much of a disadvatange using a DFP against someone who uses a DS2, you can always use a DS2 yourself. Nobody's forcing you to use the wheel if you have one. I'd personally feel at a disadvantage using a DS2 against someone using a DFP. But then again, I don't think it really matters, nor do I care what everyone else is using...
 
Yep, I'll have to go with NK4E, TS, and DTC on this one.

If we had 50 people clamoring for competitions, then it might be a good consideration. But since that is not currently the case(unfortunately) I don't believe there is a need for a separate division.

Also, the DFP is not a disadvantage or an advantage. It's just what you like to use better. That's all.
