Welcome to the first round of GTPGTS racing.

We begin here at High Speed Ring, a track thats all about speed. it consists of six turns to test your car's handling and four straights to Push your Car's speed to the limit.. horsepower and top end will definately play a huge factor in this race. May the fastest win

Qualifying will be done in Time Trial:
Arcade Mode-->Time Trial--> High Speed Ring--> Forward
Race will be done in Single Race:
Arcade Mode--> Single Race--> High Speed Ring--> Forward

Tire Wear:Strong
Laps:15
Penalty: Drive-Thru

The Rules are very simple. no cheating, no hybrids, anything that gives you a huge advantage. Gearing is free for all races. in Qualifying, you can use any kind of tire or tire combination, but in the race, only RH, RM, RS are available to use. two wheels on the track at all times. only slight contact, such as rubbing fenders or sides, are allowed. The AI settings for the race can be set 7-10. you will submit your times to me in this format:

Class: GT1
Driver: RACECAR
Number: 48
Qualifying Time: X'XX.XXX
Total Time: XX'XX.XXX
Best Time: X'XX.XXX

Deadline:March 8th
This will be how the Points system will be used:
1st-10
2nd-8
3rd-6
4th-5
5th-4
6th-3
7th-2
8th-1
9th-1
10th-0

When do we get the full racing specs ?
 
When is Qualifying and how much tire wear is there?
 
I'm assuming that Qualifying takes place in Arcade Mode-->Time Trial-->select track and any Tire (R1-R5) is allowed.

Tirewear should always be set STRONG unless there is none at all. I've found running mild tirewear doesn't do a whole lot for the game experience.

Summing up all the questions:
1. What is the deadline for round1?
2. Should we send our qualifier time and race time all together before the deadline?
3. We're running qualifier in arcade => time trial with NO tyreweaer, aren't we?
4. What we will get for qualifier victory? Some extra points? Or you will just summing up times like this:
overal time = qualifier time + total race time
5. We're using strong tyrewear for all races of the season, aren't we?

Just letting you guys know I'm moving to my dad's house in the week so I might be a bit late it's just that its really busy here :) i will try though guys :sly:

This should be a no brainer, but racecar will tell us but this is what i feel...

Qualifying should be seperate done in arcade mode=>time trial, just liek the pre season was done, by fastest lap. You cannot have tyre wear on in time trial so thats out of the question

Races should be with full tyre wear or "strong" and also be a seperate time

As for the reward for qualifying, the point system is good and/or a time penalty added on to the race time for NOT qualifying

as i said before its up to RACECAR

you can discuss times, just as long as they are sector times. also, you could discuss your strategy, like what your doingwith tire wear or fuel consumption.
 
Decided to "guest star" in this series in GT1, good practice for...things.

Took GT1 McLaren F1GTR. Qualifying was fun on R5's, and ended up with 57.xxx
Surprised to see how good this car was on "worse" tires. Did a 1-stopper with RH/RH and RS/RS. Fast lap of 58.7xx, and I ended up hitting my goal. Good luck all.

How come my Panoz weighs almost 100kg more than the Mclaren but has less power?

GT2 class, 350Z LM... qualifying done with 1'03.xxx with R5's. Now I need to find time and patience for the 15 lap race so that no mistakes are made. :scared: Already tried it once, but on my first lap was forced to pit in, due to a hard contact with AI :indiff: Guess they brake a lot more than needed :dopey:

Yeah yeah, and please a 340 km/h max speed limit to me :sly:
Seriously, it's very hard to race against Mc Larens this round. They are pretty fast here with no serious chances for others, but of course we all are trying our best and wouldn't give up :cool:

PS: Just a simple question: can we use different tyre types (front/rear) during the race, if they're still RS, RM, RH?
 
Times submitted.

Started with RH/RM. Did one pit-stop in lap 9, changing to RS/RS. Best lap: 1'04.xxx

Looking forward to see the final results. :sly:
