I'm kinda stuffed now for the rest of the season. I can't swap Albon for another driver because that would mean leaving the Mercedes engine, which would be daft at the moment; using the Joker would mean losing Antonelli and Mercedes engine to swap for a more rounded line up.

Not to give any ideas, but the Joker only requires two wholly new drivers because I never thought to add the part about wholly new chassis/engine too.

You could, in principle, burn the Joker just to swap drivers out then use a driver swap to bring one back.

Original Tokens are now not relevant. Your team is now worth 15 Tokens because its value has gone up after the Token update:

CHASSIS: Mercedes (6)
ENGINE: Ford (4)
DRIVER: Sainz (3)
DRIVER: Albon (2)

Whatever your new team, after swaps, it must now be worth no more than 15 Tokens. If you want to swap out any one component, it must not be a higher-value item: Albon (2) for Hadjar (3) would account for one extra Token, so you cannot do that.

You can free up a Token by swapping a component for a lower-value item first, say Mercedes to Ferrari (6 Tokens to 5 Tokens), and then use the left-over Token to swap Albon for Hadjar. Then your team would still be worth 15 Tokens.


Edit: Imagine it's not Tokens but million pounds in Fantasy Football. You have to make a team that's no more than £13m to start with. But after some of the early season plays out, some players go up in value and others down. Your team went up to £15m, so now you can do some transfers and stuff to take advantage of the increased value by getting new players who you think will do better long-term.

Luckily it doesn't affect the Token updates particularly. I'd also missed that Williams got FACC points but we have nobody who'd picked Williams so...

FACC only recognises the second car of any team, so where the first one finishes isn't relevant. The second Alpine was still ranked fourth behind the second Racing Bulls, Audi, and Mercedes cars.

However I think you should have gone up because of the engine (1st+3rd, rather than 1st+4th). Maybe there's a glitch in the engine calcs...

Edit: Yep. FIA managed to **** me Inthe Arse again.
