Stage 2 hasn't gone terribly well... 😬View attachment 1461104
Can't post clips on here but these are a few stills of my narrow escape on that corner

The same thing happened to me... during the practice run. I made sure to slow down for the last bend in the live run. Recces > wreckies.

I just went in without practice cause I hate Croatia. I knew the place and knew you could go almost flat the five-left and then with the right line with a little lift gun it out the next four-right

@SharkyOB and @Dreadmed did you not fancy Croatia?
I did not (it's my least favourite location in the game), I've also not been playing that much due to the heat... and what little time I have played recently I've not really enjoyed. What with the support being abruptly shelved and how much I've put into this game (relatively speaking) I'm probably not too far away from putting it down, it's taking up a lot of space.

I just didn't get chance due to lots of rehearsals/summer work do/wedding at the weekend. Also, it was hot as balls in my games room so couldn't face getting behind the wheel in VR when I did have a couple of moments. I think I'd have gone reasonably well in Croatia, so a missed opportunity.

Well fair point. Tool isn't exactly straight 4/4 lol

Did my Kenya run. Managed to roll it on stage 1 and ended up on my roof, lost 6 seconds for the recovery plus whatever it took for the accident itself, but only had body damage to repair.
Didn't realise there was no service before the power stage but it wasn't too bad. Count keep up with @cheetack or @DarthNoose though

@peniu @DarthNoose Great battle in Kenya 🍻

I'm not sure what the right call was on tyres, I went with the harder compound for the second loop because I was scared of driving with too much wear on the power stage.

Results from last week, Dirt 3 and Dirt 4 will be posted later. Haven't had internet at home for a few days but it's back now.

Thought I'd get my Swedish rally done early. So that's the only time I'll be at the top of the leaderboard seeing as I'm the only one on it right now haha.
I think I was a bit too cautious cos normally I end up catching the edge of a snowbank somewhere and the car turns into a washing machine. Not many errors so we'll see how it all shakes out.

I'm going to try and do mine in the middle of the night when I'm not fighting sweaty thumbs on the analogue sticks, this weather is vile!
Son of a. Flipped the car twice on stage 4. And then there was the stupid corner cut on stage 3 🥲 great battle again!

After the first stage I was like "**** what car was I supposed to take". Cause I just by default took the car I wanted 😅 luckily it was the correct one!

I never feel comfortable on these fast rallies, one little mistake and you know you're in the soft stuff and tumbling. I probably cut the same corner on SS3, I was sure I had missed the corner marker as I got back on too so I was expecting a 10 second penalty instead of 5.

Another great close rally, and really nice to drive the Polo, such a fun car.

Results from Dirt 2/Croatia. A commanding win for @peniu .

Dirt 3
Dirt 3 launched in August 2011, just under 2 years after Dirt 2, and was the first game to completely remove the Colin McRae name from the title. Dirt 3 took the concepts that Dirt 2 had introduced, and dialled them up to 11. Featuring a wide variety of off road motorsport disciplines, such as rally, rallycross, rally raid, landrush/hill climb, stadium trucks and buggies and the inclusion of the ever growing in popularity, gymkhana.

Ken Block was a focal point for the game, heavily drawing on him as a main character guide through the game and featuring a whole host of his machinery from his WRC Ford Focus to various specifications of his Gymkhana machinery. The main Dirt Tour career mode saw you start at the bottom with no reputation, and challenging you to complete individual tours to progress and become the world champion. Occasional special events cropped up as well which provided unique challenges, such as the Top Gear inspired Bobsleigh challenge in Norway where you must pilot the Mini Countryman WRC down a rally run in parallel to a bobsleigh run.

The game featured 11 locations, and saw an increased presence for rallying after traditional rallying took a bit of a backseat in Dirt 2. locations such as Kenya, Michigan, Norway and Finland featured at launch, with Monte Carlo being added as a DLC later on. The list of rally cars was also very strong, covering everything from the 60s with the Lancia Fulvia, Mini Cooper and Alpine A110, all the way to the Pro class which featured up to date WRC machinery such as the Focus RS WRC, Fiesta WRC and C4 WRC, complete with licensed WRC liveries.
The game was positively received by media and fans alike, the gameplay and visuals being praised across the board whilst fans lauded the return of more rally content, in particular the modern WRC machinery and recognisable rally stages.

The Focus WRC was the choice for this around as the Fiesta WRC doesn't feature in EA WRC, whilst the Focus WRC was one of the key Ken Block machines early in the game and featured a wide array of official liveries. Kenya was the choice of location, it was a new location to the Dirt series and hadn't been seen in a Codemasters rally title since Colin McRae Rally 2.0.

@GOTMAXPOWER took the victory at Kenya, ahead of @DarthNoose by just a half a second, while @peniu took the final podium place.

These results give @peniu the championship lead, just 11 points clear of @SharkyOB who is level on points with @Tool1312 .
