Round 10
Track: Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca - 2.38miles (3.58km)
Deadline: January 11 @ 5p CST (GMT -6)

The last race of the season. Bittersweet as it is, the first season of GTPLMS competition ends at the fabled Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca and the Monterey Sports Car Championships.

Nestled in the hills of California, just of the Pacific coast, is the famed Laguna Seca Raceway. Built in 1957, the current configuration didn't go into effect until 1988, when corners 3, 4, and 5 were added. Arguably the most famous corner in motorsports is featured at Laguna Seca, where drivers pass through "The Corkscrew", a quick left-right combination that leaves the drivers feeling like they've fallen off the mountain.

While this is considered an endurance race, rather than a normal sprint race, BOB will NOT be used. The drivers will have to use all their skill and concentration to finish this grueling event.

Also, this will be a DOUBLE POINT EVENT, same as Petit LeMan. This is the last chance for points in both Drivers and Manufacturer championships. Good luck drivers.

Entry List with Points shown below

Lap-time discussion rules are being relaxed for the rest of the season. It's been the decision of GTMSA officials (read: me) that single lap-times can be discussed provided the full time is not disclosed.
Example: "My fast lap was a 1:22.xxx" or "my pit in really hurt, a 1:45.xxx" The full seconds can be discussed, but fractions must not be shown. Please adhere to these rules and everyone can benefit.

Don't touch the walls, they slow you down.

Any ETA for the results of the last race yet buddy?

Neil

I think you'll like the results.:sly:

Yay!

Another win, and my first championship win!

Only twelve points between us in GTS Chris! You'd best be watching your rear-view mirror..........that wide, low and screaming thing in it will be me yelling at you to 'get the hell out of the way, slow-poke!'

Oh, I'm coming for you Neil. I'll be concentrating on GTS and P1 this week...although testing for S2, testing for another series, running JGTC, and running Mazda Cup kinda cuts into my LMS time a little :).

I have, however, done a few runs. Ran one GT race, and two GTS races. The ol' M3 might actually have a shot here, as Laguna Seca doesn't have a lot of super-fast straights, and does have LOTS of corners. The back-half of the course (turn 6 on) I own, but anywhere before that still frustrates me, i think there's at least 1 sec / lap to get still.

The Viper doesn't really like this course very much. Lots of gas-understeer with the super-low gearing. might have to run a few experiments and try again.

Prototypes are going to be rough. that Corkscrew really upsets the lightweight cars. I'm a little scared.

But watching Football now...gotta go

Times sent in to Chris! Finally!

Ran the Mac on RM's all round, 2 pit-stops!
Ran the RX7 RM's and then RS's, 1 pit-stop only.

Looking forward to the results.

Neil
