I must apologize for the lack of diligence on my part in getting the last race out. No, i didn't forget about you all, I just didn't have my computer. Alright, enough sob-storying, lets race.
Laguna Seca is one of the most storied tracks in the world, and plays host to all sorts of auto racing. This week it will host the final event in GTPLMS season 2. A double-points event as well, and we will NOT HAVE QUALIFYING. I just can't do it this time...sorry to those who've sent times already.

A driver has up to 3 hours after deadline to send in their time, but a penalty will be enforced equal to the lateness of the submission, 1 second for every minute after deadline up to 3hr past deadline. Anything after 3hr will not be accepted and will post a DNS/DNQ.

My guess is you chose to cut it to the quick for this round, huh? Can't say that I blame you after all the troubles your PC has been giving you the last few weeks. I imagine it's still in the shop, or did you get it back the other day?

Given the time we have to get the races in this week, if my schedule permits I'll be able to one run in one class each day this week. It's been an enjoyable Season 2 in the GTPLMS, and I hope I can do this again soon.:)

I have time to race now.I think I will try this one only once, but it depends on the penalties. If I don't have any,I will submit that result.👍
It seems we will get them together with the previous about Christmas...:)

Well,time submitted.
I ran it twice, because my first attempt finished in the butt of that goddamn Alfa 155 in lap 32...:ouch:
Good luck to you all.
Can't wait the results.I feel it was a great season in the LMS with some little problems, but anyway,I really loved it.Thank you,Chris.I think it wasn't too easy, but I know you tried to do it as good as possible.👍

Ran my GT-One race tonight, and am fairly happy with it. Good strategy, and no big mistakes.
Obviously, there were a couple of minor one's. But no spins or crashes/pens.

I did twice through the race find an errant Nissan facing the wrong way in the kitty-litter in front of me at turn 11, but thankfully it didn't interfere.
However I did have to take MAJOR evasive action at one point. I came out of Rainey Curve on lap 28 to find the green Bently right in the middle of the track, sideways on, and not moving!
As I approached it at massive speed, it suddenly decided to go into reverse, just as I lined up to go behind it!:scared:
Thankfully I managed to avoid it, but I swear there was a fag-paper between us when I did.

Doing the Viper race in the morning/afternoon tommorow.

Neil

Same happened to me! Thanks for the warning Neil 👍

Didn't come as quite a surprise when I saw the cars in front of mine, thanks to Neil's "heads-up" - still caught me off guard a bit since I wasn't sure when exactly to expect it. Reminds me of Monaco and what CAMikaze said, and I quote:

"I was thinking for GT5 they should have 'track marshalls(corner workers, if you will)' stationed at the turns and wave a yellow flag warning racers of trouble ahead on the track. Sort of like what they do at the races in real-life."

Great suggestion by CAM 👍 Hope it becomes part of the game at some point.

Times sent. Good luck all!

I just finished a run in GT3 and didn't have much in the way pf problems. Unless you count a Lancia Delta Rally Car that can go fast enough to make you worry about being lapped a problem.:dopey: Not a lot of time until tomorrow's deadline so I plan on submitting my GT3 time in shortly then get to work on the other 2 classes that I'm in. And I'll keep Neil's heads-up notice in mind.;)

And ERacer, I hoe my suggestion becones part of GT5 at some point as well.:)👍

Times sent .. good luck all .. enjoyed the racing .. see you at the bar for a few drinks .

Time for the GT class is sent, but haven't been able to get the Viper race done.

when I did have the time, I just couldn't get into the flow of the thing and got a bad first lap & re-started or kept either getting punted off at the top of the corkscrew by the AI, or slammed into the side of as I exited the pits.

Ah well! Good Luck all, and mine's a Guinness!

Neil

Good luck everyone. Its gonna be a nail-biter waiting for results.

Agreed. Sent in my times over an hour ago to Shotgun, now all we need to do is to wait for the results - of the last 2 rounds. :D

As for the current round, I was able to do a 2-stopper in GT2 & 3 with 16-10-10 lap stints in both classes on RH/RH, RM/RM & RM/RM. I was originally thinking of 3 12 lap RH/RH stints, but I was curious as to how far I can actually go on that tire setup. Fortunately as I went into the pits, the tires were just starting to lose their grip. But the times were pretty consistent right up to the end of their stints.:)

For GT1, it was a different story. I was hoping for a 2 stopper on RH/RH for the entire race. Unfortunately, the tires were getting to be pretty orange by time I was nearing T2 on Lap 11. That forced me to change to a 3-stop strategy and had me hoping that the third stint on RM/RM would get me to at least Lap 29. Luckily it worked with the fronts at yellow by time I exited the Corkscrew and I decided to pit that lap and do the final 7 laps on RM/RM.:O

I'm actually hoping for a good finish in the standings to cap off Season 2. A win would be nice to go along with the 2 GT2 class wins I got this season, but my best memory is getting pole in GT1 and winning in GT2 at New York Reverse.:D:tup:

GT2 and GT3 : 10-15-10 - RM/RM, RH/RH, RM/RM .

Havent been able to get the Pesco on track .. but might get into it before climbing into bed tonight and make a late submission anyway .
