Rules and Regulations

All rules, regulations, car specifications, and races are controlled by GTPLMS sanctioning body, GTMSA. Any and all questions should be directed to GTMSA officials (namely me ICallShotgun) and officials will do their best to answer in a timely and accurate manor.

All drivers must run at the specified weights and horsepower settings provided by GTMSA for each round. Horsepower and/or weight settings are adjusted for competitive reasons each round based on finishing positions from previous rounds.

Penalties for Late Time Submission will be as such.
If the driver submits times Private Messaged through GTP to ICallShotgun before the deadline as time-stamped by GTP, no penaly will be given. A driver has up to 3 hours after deadline to send in their time, but a penalty will be enforced equal to the lateness of the submission, 1 second for every minute after deadline up to 3hr past deadline. Anything after 3hr will not be accepted and will post a DNS/DNQ.

All Other Standard Online Racing Rules apply.
  • No Cheating, Hybrids, or any crap like that. Run the car I set up for you please.
  • Try and keep two wheels on the road at all times. No shortcuts.
  • No wall-riding. It slows you down.

Race (32 Laps)
  • Arcade Mode>>>Time Trial>>>City Courses>>>Tokyo R246 FWD>>>Select Car
  • Tires restricted to RH/RM/RS ONLY.
  • AI Tires set to RM.
  • AI Difficulty set to 9-10.
  • Penalty set to SPEED LIMITER
  • TCS is allowed IF DESIRED, but NOT mandatory. ACS is PROHIBITED.
  • Gearing is free.

laz, soo fast w/ time submission...busy schedule these next two weeks? I have been so busy verifying times i haven't even got a chance.

Wow!

Alright, finally got a chance to break out the S2000 and the M3. I'm not looking for miracles here, just a good competitive effort and tune up for Laguna Seca as Tokyo isn't very friendly to my cars.

The S2000 chews up the fronts like it's on cheese-graters still, and it's really difficult to get a good pit strategy here. 8 laps on RH/RM, but slow. or 5-6 laps on RM/RS and fast, but pitting 2x more. might have to do this one a couple more times. There's a chance of getting lapped too, by the  rally cars...come on, they've got 250 more hp than I do.

the BMW M3 isn't going to break any records here i think. The flying Brick just doesn't have the straightaway speed of the RX7's, and there isn't enough corners to make it up. she eats tires pretty quick in the front too, but 6 laps on RM/RH and you HAVE TO pit. not sure if i'm doing this one again or not, but i did get lapped by the GT-R.

Hopefully sometime next week I'll have time for the Viper and my R8. gotta give C-H-A-R-G-E-R a run for the championship.

good luck all.

Aaaarrgghhh!!@!*&@## .........I can't get the Ford GT LM SpecII (GT1) through turn 5!!!

Turn 5 is the slight left bend on the tree lined back straight away. I'm on RS/RS with HP/Kg specs as per the settings chart. The darned car kepts on going sideways!!!

I lift the gas - it turn sideways
I engine brake - it turns sideways
I slow down way ahead of the bend - the AI bump me and ... (yup) it turns sideways

I feel as though I have to "baby" the Ford around this track as it seems scared to challenge the field.

In comparison, the Pesky (PRO) handles beautifully here - very aggressive - an incredibly awesome feeling which makes the race very exciting.

Yes,it was not sure that I can run it again or not.First try but there are no penalties in it.Maybe it is good for a podium.
It was better for me to run just after the qualifying until the track is in my "hands".

Times sent. The Courage C60 car was a real treat to drive through Tokyo but most of my time was devoted to the surprisingly pesky Ford GT which gave me insurmountable trouble - could not get a set of clean 32 out of that car. Good luck all!

Times finally sent .. my favourite track [city circuit] spent most of my time in the RX7 .. completing over 100 laps .

Good luck everyone .. see you on the grid .

Ah! It pains me greatly, but I have to say I can't submit any times for this DOUBLE points event.
I just haven't been able to get the time to do it! :(

Things just got on-top of me, and time just slipped away.

Times are finally sent. I've had the worse day ever and now with a crappy PS2, I can't do more then one race without it going stupid on me:grumpy:. I had to send in the GT2 times late because of the old "Disc Read Error" BS that makes me fume and its not any better when trying to find the time to race while balancing a crapload of work around a poorly kept house due to the fact that most of my family either has a job or school to attend to and a sick and injured dad who needs a lot of help:grumpy:

Times Submitted. :sly:👍

I enjoyed racing on this street circuit as well. Speed-wise it can compare rather closely w/the street course in Adelade, though R246 has places where it widens and narrows.

Speaking of which the thought occured to me as this round went on. Since this race is taking place on Tokyo R246, shouldn't the race be called the Chibi LeMans instead?:dopey:

Sorry guys, but results will be postponed. My computer is still in the shop and i don't have the files I need to do the results. I should have it back in a few days. Until then please be patient with me and practice at Laguna Seca. The last event will be there, forward. Qualifying will be a hot-lap in stock (LMS) cars.

I sent my times to Shotgun for the qualifying Round 10 - Laguna Seca, with the settings 285/1122/RM's.I won't be around the PC this weekend.Don't forget about it,Chris!
Good luck everyone.

I think Chris is just wanting us to practice Laz.

He'll post the Quali thread when his PC's back up and running.
