hey guys this is MC over at North American GTR Owners Club

ok this was strange i was doing acceleration tests in a 2012 Black Edition GTR and i noticed it would hold 4K rpms ( just like in real life) without me even touching the gas pedal it would do this over and over every time i restarted the test... when i reset the game it never did it again and now i have to manually tap the gas to get it to launch at 4K rpms....

was this some sort of fluke or glitch? if so its a weird coincidence becuase that is exactly how the car launches in real life and i have ALOT of experience with these cars

check out the video... i swear i had my foot totally off the gas... weird

oh and i have the fanatec set up and had no pressure on the pedal at all....

it did this atleast 10 times straight.. now i cant replicate it without barely touching the pedal and even then its hard to duplicate the exact RPM

This Alot is mentioned a lot of times in the webs! http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html *trollface*

Back on topic,
It is wierd, but it's most probably a glitch though.
Still, have you tried restarting the PS3 once more, to see if it worked again?

na it must have been a one time thing just interesting it reved perfectly to a specific RPM.. oh well... would have been cool if the cars had integrated launch control for acceleration runs

also thanks for welcoming me to a new forum with pointing out a grammatical error in my first post :)

It wasn't a glitch, the car does have launch control in the game. This is how you do it...

1. Handbrake off.
2. Footbrake on.
3. Rev to 4000rpm.
4. Release footbrake and quickly apply full throttle.

Hope that helps.

Hahah, sorry about that :P
Didn't even notice how many posts you had, but, now that you mention it, a somewhat late Welcome to the GTP Comunity! :dopey:

Edit:
@xSNAKEx
Yea, it does >_<
I didn't even thought about what I read
Sleep privation does this xD

Lol that works for every car

At 4-5 seconds in the video, you can see that the accelerator has a slight depression on it. It seems that the FANATEC pedals were spiking.
