Seriously why is my GTR so slow on launch. I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Settings: Please don't laugh, I don't know much...

LSD: Initial Torque- 5 - 5
Accelerations sensitivity- 60 - 60
Braking sensitivity- 10 10

Suspension:
Ride height- 0-0
Springs- 13.0- 14.0
Dampers- 3-7 (both)
Anti roll bars- 1-1

Sorry I forgot what my ratios were but my top speed was set to: 274.

I haven't fully broken it in yet.

So can anyone give me pointers on how do get it faster on launch.

Thanks.

Your suspension is set wrong. Check my user name for post, I posted a thread for a spec v search for it and test it.

For ride height lower the front to max and raise the rear to max. Initial acceleration on the LSD also max while the braking part is lowest. A few other suspension tweaks are needed but most importantly is your transmission. What settings you use will really make the difference.

Do what Schmogt said, and your front springs should be a bit stiffer than the rear ones (of course this may depend on other variables), but overall they shouldn't be too stiff. The dampers should be somewhere around 10-1 1-10.
Your top speed is way too high, lower your final gear so your top speed reads around 160mph range, of course be wary of the power band.

You may also need to try the "tranny trick".

Cheers.

Yup I am using the tranny trick. Also I meant that 274 is the max speed after doing the tranny trick. Thanks.

Then your doing it wrong.

  1. Reset To default
  2. Final Gear all the way to Right
  3. Top speed all the way to the left
  4. Final to your desired trap speed.

Wish it was that easy for tunnel lol

Yes sometimes you don't put the top speed all the way to the left ;)

We use this at Indy as well you know :sly:

That's one way, but the other way it's done has nothing to do with the max speed and all to do with final gearing.....but I'll leave it to you to work out what I mean with it. ;)

Pretty much the same.......... (yeah, I know, I'm :dopey:)
