Having looked at all your posts, you really should take a look at this:

in real life it would offer better fuel economy with a 7 speed due to a lower top gear on the highway by a little..but the 6 speed will accelerate a little quicker due to less gears obv the difference all in all would be so slight you pry wouldnt notice it unless you were in traffic downshifting every 2 secs. personally its fine with a 6 speed a 7th gear will just make the car heavier with very little upside.

Not really, no. That 7th gear would only be useful for highway cruising anyway. Sure if you want better MPG, but it'll do nothing for speed.

They tested it with the Tokyo edition concept '01 and they found 6 was better overall
