moin guys.

me and a friend produce fantastic "race-battle-replays" in the splitscreenmode which are as interesting as motogp races. are there some more guys who are addicted to splittscreenfighs? am i alone?

now i`m interested in making a movie with adobe premiere.
but i have a question. is there a possibility to turn a gt-replayfile into avi, mpeg, etc.?

if yes, i`ll buy xport. if not, i`ll cry.

ps: yes, i used the searchfunction

:)

If you have a video card with a tv tuner you can run the video output of the PS2 and record it to your computer. Try searching I believe theres more info around somewhere.

With my TV Tuner.

3 seconds was 16MB's.

you have to compress the raw photage using a different codec. Use software such as VirtuaDub

it is possible to make the file as avi. or meg file. :P
that's all i know haha. make it avi file because i like it better :)

Theres a bit of confusion, as he's asking if he can turn a replay on his computer (Via X-port) into a movie file. Unfortunately, no the *.xps file which the X-port uses is not compatible with anything other than a sharkport/Xport and a PS2. So you can send that replay file to someone, but you can't turn it into a movie file.

Now what you can do is pick up a TV input card for your computer and record it from screen onto your computer. At which point you can edit to your hearts delight.

Granted, a two player race is going to amount to a sizeable file, but at least you'll have it on your computer.
