Greetings all.

Long time Evo fan here since GT1 on the original PS. Also owned GT2 and then GT5 on the PS3 before now.
I'm by no means the fastest driver or best tuner but have always enjoyed tinkering with the Evo's to try and get them as competitive as possible for my style of driving and ability. Been really enjoying GTS so far and while its clear there's still some teething issues and PD are trying to find what kind of racing game they want GTS to be, i'm generally encouraged by the showing so far. Anyway, I was really enjoying the week long 'daily' races until PD changed format and this is where my below tune came about.
For the races I have been entering/seeing online, Evo's are a bit of a rarity on the track but of those I do see/race against, i'm generally a good few seconds a lap faster and at times, have even been holding my own against the GT-R's.
I'm currently rated D-S and using a DS4 controller and this tune hit a qualifying run on Kyoto Yamagiwa of 1:45.230. I did manage a 1:45.138 in race with it too but that was in the slip of a GT-R.

**EDIT - Tuned on patch v1.03**

Would love to hear your advice, thoughts and feedback to see if i can break into the 1:44.xxx's and also see other Evo drivers tunes to see if we can collectively give those GT-R's and Scirocco's a run for their money :)

Edit. I have to give a shout out to Minkihl as I'd been following his thread prior and so the above tune may resemble elements of his GT-R tune? (i've lost count of the number of tweaks, retweaks and resets i'd gone through!) So if it looks familiar to you guys, that's where it's from and not trying to trad on anyone's toes :)

Thanks viking. No, not yet, I only picked up the GrB road car edition yesterday along with the vision GT that i'd been saving up for. Just got the Evo X GrB rally car left to buy now to complete my Mitsubishi garage.
At the moment, i cant seem to leave the Gr4 Evo alone and keep hopping into races to test it against drivers. May look at the special edition GrB next though.

Like a few others here, I've found the change in format to the daily races and in particular how the settings are now locked has put me off participating in these. The silver lining is that I've now spent more time on hitting the time trials and working on a few Evo tunes.

Behold my 1:44.915 (1:44.560 opt) Gr4 Evo X, Kyoto Yamagiwa tune :)
As you can see with the optimum time, a better pilot than myself could potentially take another 1/2 sec off my best by driving consistent sectors :)
Car feels more stable (for my driving style anyway) and I was regularly putting 1:45.2xx down

Also just for info/reference, i took it to Dragon Trail and put in a 1:51.851 (1:50.891 opt). Again, not the fastest lap time i know but its the consistency i'm getting that i'm quite pleased with.

Greetings fellow Evo fans & drivers!

In reply to Ricasmetx, no real major developments except that since the v1.10 patch, the Evo's are now much more competitive when racing in Sport mode :) As such, i haven't been testing/tuning so much as actually racing recently which is now a much more enjoyable experience in the Evo's :). Evo's are still a rarity on the track though and i'm normally the only one present in the small amount of races i do manage to enter. E.g, at the Gr3 daily at Interlagos over the weekend, i only saw one other Evo in the five races i entered (plenty of 911's!) but if my memory serves me correctly, i qualified 12th for all races and my results were:

12th > 07th
12th > 07th
12th > 06th
12th > 14th (last place)
12th > 05th

My DR has gone from D to C but SR has taken a bashing, having now gone from S to B in just five races! :(.

I also entered my first 10 lap tyre wear/fuel use race over Christmas in a Gr4 daily race at Dragon Trail. I think i qualified 10th but finished 02nd in that which i was well pleased with :)

Anyhow, following the v1.10 patch, i've a couple of comparative lap times for the Gr4 Evo so you can see the difference its made over the previous patches :)
Current tune is still as above but with Traction now set to 0.

Couple of base lap times added for Suzuka following yesterdays daily race. Not a track i particularly enjoy so i may revisit again when I've learnt the course and spent a bit more time on it.

Ran six races in total of which I managed two wins:
20180115_203238.jpg
20180115_211229.jpg
two poles and one fastest lap (my qualifying time had me starting at least top 3 grid position in each race). Only saw one other Evo in the whole six races who qualified last (16th) but finished 09th 👍.

A shout out must go to Dutch racer NGL2981 (hope you see this?) driving an RCZ who I met in at least three of the races. Really battled hard, rarely messed up his lines, raced fair, produced some nice manoeuvres on me and pipped 03rd place from me on the final lap on one race.

yesterday I had a very nice run in Iterlagos too but once again a ****ing Megane throw me 3 positions back so i finish 4th :(
Almost my first podium and onde again I almost broke the tv into 10000 pieces

Inspired by @MINKIHL Lake Maggiore lap times, I've been spending a bit of time on this track testing, tuning & tweaking the Gr3 Evo.
Current tune below is getting there, but i still need to work on the low gearing when exiting the low speed corners. Revs are dropping too low and eating tenths getting back up to race speed.
Anyway, i'm currently at 1:56.454 (1:55.852 opt) which is 1.6 secs off MINKIHL's GR Alfa tune/hot lap.

A few developments in the last couple of months. I'm still using a DS4 controller but after reading some informative threads earlier in the year, have swapped accelerate & brake to R2 & L2 respectively (previously I was using X & square). Taken a while to get used to it and train my right thumb so that it understands it's now operating the gears, but being able to feather the throttle has made a huge difference, especially in the more powerful Gr3 races/RW drive cars. Anyway Lancer Evolution X FE (N400) tune is now up and running :)

Welcome to the community @SolarRazgriz1 and thanks for posting your setup, I'll try it out when I next get the opportunity!
What track/races/lobbies have you been having success with it in?
I notice you've tuned on RSS tires which I've yet to do as I tend to tune on RH tyres in the vain hope PD will eventually allow tuning back in Sport Mode.

I found the key to obtaining quick laps on this circuit is limiting your braking to the absolute minimum. If you get it right, there's only two corners you need to brake firmly for (first and last turn) and another you need to touch the brakes slightly on (turn 10). To control your speed on the rest, lift off the throttle as you approach a corner and guide the car in towards the apex before accelerating out. There are a couple of tricky corners that require almost pin-point timing when lifting off as well as timely downshifts, but if you get them correct, the lap times should shorten dramatically.
The Tokyo circuits/layouts are generally high average speed so be wary of the restrictive sports soft tires, as the car can loose grip and slide out if your carrying either too much pace and/or find yourself off racing line and need hit the brakes when you're already on a bend! Once you find the rhythm though, consistent 1:21's should be a regular sight. :)

Yea , i've had success in all dragon tail layouts , yamigawa + miyabi. Only issue car has naturally is understeering when you apply power. I meant to put on Racing hards on thread, i tune with hards usually unless im trying to get fastest lap with maxed out settings. I have a new tune getting worked on. My fastest time with maxed out settings on seaside is currently 1.33.6

Pleased with the initial showing on the Time Trial run, I entered the Gr.4 Evo into the 15 lap endurance race on RS tyres. Once started, I realised that tyre wear and fuel consumption were on! :banghead:
Anyway, I persevered on the RS tyres for the first 5 laps before pitting, changing to RH's and adding enough fuel for 10 more laps. I also adjusted the brake balance from -3 to -1 (i probably could've done this sooner in the race and maybe got an extra lap out of the RS?).
The car behaved well on RH and was still turning in laps of 1:54/55's as I weaved through the traffic. I was also able to maintain fuel map 1, right up until the final lap were I switched to map 6, thus only requiring 1 pit stop.
If I were to run the race again, i'd probably run RM tyres for the whole thing and pit around lap 7 for tyres & fuel. :)

Ended up being not to dissimilar from the setup I used for Mission Challenge 5.8 (Alsace Gr.4 endurance). Dropped the rear ride height slightly and softened the springs & dampers as the kerbs at Dragon Trail are quite unforgiving! Overtook the 1st place Aston Martin at turn 7 on the first lap.
