So we are a week into GTS, so I took a look at how the trophy stats are working out to get a picture of early activity and playing habits.
The always on-line and on-line only saves do give one advantage, and that we know these numbers are robust, as you can't do anything without being on-line.
One interesting thing I did notice is that for an on-line focused title GTS has almost no on-line dedicated trophies, which I must confess I did find a little strange.
Key ones I have focused on are as follows:
Experienced Driver (drive for a total of 62.5 miles / 100 km: 73.2%
Now I'm sure most on here would have managed this on the first day (I know I did), but a quarter of owners are still to break 60-ish miles driven.
My First Car (Bought your First Car): 44.7%
Less than half have bought a car, however given the rate at which GTS gives them to you this is not a massive surprise, I didn't buy my first one until a day after I started playing.
Collection 10 (Acquired a total of ten cars): 44%
A similar story to above, I actually got this one before I bought my first car or had got the Experienced Driver trophy.
Recognising Your Talent (Earned bronze in all the Driving School Challenges): 19.3%
The vast majority (80%+) of owners have not finished the driving school to even the lowest level, is this a sign that the new direction of career mode doesn't hit the spot, or that people don't want a career at all?
Globetrotter (Earned bronze in all circuit experiences): 0.6%
Well this one surprised me, well kind of, I suspect that the rally stages may be a big barrier here.
Master of Manners (Sport Mode Opened after completing all racing etiquette lessons): 54.2%
This is arguably the big one for the title, while it does show who has actually gone on-line in Sport mode or an open Lobby, it does show what percentage have watched the videos needed to do so. Given the focus of the title this is a mixed massage for me. while it is higher than the average on-line try out for most titles, they do also have a significantly larger single player element. As such I am a little surprised that almost half of owners have not yet even watched the videos needed to get on-line.
Newbie Driver (Reached Level 15): 17.3%
Veteran Driver (Reached Level 25): 1.8%
Legendary Driver (Reached Level 40): 0.1%
Ultimate Driver (Reached Level 50): 0.0%
I've grouped these together as they paint an early picture of overall progress ratios. Ideally I would have liked one for Level 20, as that would have let us know who had unlocked all of the tracks for arcade. This one will be interesting to see how it progresses over time.
So those are the key ones at the moment, let me know where you sit among these, or any that you feel are of interest.
