Also, let us know if you have a problem with running R3 tyres. I know I did after doing a little driving, so I just want to know what everybody else thinks so we can change the rules before the championship starts!

Enjoy!

Ummm, Super Hard tyres are R1, aren’t they?

Possibly, but arcade mode calls them RSH, so, I guess I'll just change that. Hehe.

Also, I've set the bar at 1'00.437 in the Audi R8.

The course is alot more challanging than you think. I have real trouble with turn one, as it seems to be off camber and I run wide. Getting the right speed and line to the final hairpin is a real challange too.

EDIT: 1'00.146
1'00.129

Jack has been talking to me about this series, He has got me pumped up enough that even though I am really anti driving aids (even if optional), I will probably give pre season test a shot, if its not too late.

*EDIT*

Ok I had a run with the Audi R8 (thats the car I will choose If I am allowed to enter the series), first I tried using no driving aids and realized that I will be off pace from everyone using driver aids so I turned on TCS. The track was tougher than I thought, Jacks right about turn one, if you take it wrong you just run wide and off the track. You can feel the lack of grip mainly turning into corners with the hard tyres, especially the final hairpin.

Anyway it took a little while getting used to this track again, I haven't driven it much since GT3 and now its a bit different. At first I was struggling, your time is pretty good Jack.

I got 0'59.449 (picture below)

That was a clean lap, no tyres off. One lap I was beating that by a bit but ran wide on the last hairpin :(

Keep in mind with the proof picture I have my power units as PS not HP so the power number is slightly higher, the power and weight is defualt.

As for should these hard tyres be used, well I'm fine with these tyres in time trials but I'm not sure how good they will be when cold or becoming worn, they may get difficult.

Playstation Pescaralo C60 '04 ---> 0'59,590

like you guys said, the first corner is very hard. It either can make or brake your lap:)

GT-2 Representin! ;)

Nissan 350Z Concept LM Race Car '02 - 1'07.828

It took about 10 Laps to start feeling comfortable with the car. The first lap out made me question my car choice. Turn 2 was hard to figure out, until I started feeling at what speeds the car began to turn. I uploaded my replay, maybe someone can take away something from it for their lap. :)

I’ve got a 1'00.1xx at the moment, there’s a few tenths to come off, yet. But I won’t spend too much time on it, because you don’t really need to chase tenths in this series.

It’s the first time I’ve had a serious crack at GT4 in 2 months, the car is good fun, and I’m suprised how much of a difference driving-aids made.

Normally, like VIPERGTSR01, I’m very anti–driving-aids. However, they made such a huge difference with these cars that it’s essential to be competitive.

59.777, beat that Jack! ;)

I ran wide on the first and last hairpin turns, so there's definatly a few more tenths left.

Hi. This is my time, :p 1'03,775:trouble:.
My car is the Toyota GT1:D. As for the R1 tires, I like the challnge:) I like the feel of the car, becuse if you start to relax you crash! I'd keep them if I was you. It toke me a long time before I got this time. I hope I can keep up with the others.

Edit: 1'02,357. I saved the gost replay, if any one needs it.
Edit:1'01'822. I have the gost for this time to.

Here is my lap time.

1:09:475-Mazda RX-8 Concept LM race car '01-(GT2)

I have no problem with R1 tires, it's hard to drive but keeps you on your toes.

Sounds like everyone is loving the R1 tyres, looks like they’re here to stay, then.

No probs. I have gotten used to them now and it does keep you on your toes a bit. :)

Pagani Zonda LM Race Car 2001 (GT2) - 1'06.803

Took me a long time to get that time. I ran about 20-30 laps. Took me a bit to get fully used to the car and the track. After a while I was usually running in the 1'07-1'09 range. So I'm pretty comfortable with the car now.

The tires add more of a challenge since you always have to be paying attention if you want a good lap. It's really fun though.

I think I'm gonna regret my car choice lol. I'll have a time to post soon.

I think I'm gonna regret my car choice lol. I'll have a time to post soon.

Me too:nervous:, I did some testing and for me the RX-8 was one of the slowest cars:(.

Ok...(sigh)...my time for the Oreca Viper is 1'07.737. It's capable of more and I'll post faster times as I can, but I don't think I'll have anything for that Toyota GT1. Congrats to Nightmare on a fast lap.👍

I got a new lap time for my RX-8.

hey all,

just posting a time.

Nice lap. Go for the high 1'03's!

I'll be in the 1'03.xxx's momentarilly. I took three laps at it yesterday and today I have a considerable amount more free time. Threrefore, I won't waste any more of it and break on into the 03's.

strapping into the Panoz,

m.piedgros

APR 11 -- I can't seem to break the top time in GT1. One of my better times was a 1'03.844 but even that lap felt like I could drain 5 tenths out. It was filled with mistakes and just felt ugly. I think the Panoz will be ultra competitive this year. My only worry(ies) will be Tire Wear and what kind of Fuel Mileage it can bring. This is, I believe, the torqueiest car in GT1 if not in the whole series, also she ways a tonne and drinks gas like somem else. I'm gonna start doing some long distance testing if that is okay with the officials.

APR 11 -- (EDIT 2) Sorry about all the CAPS I know they piss some people off. I really, really am sorry. GTSCC, as it stands know... I am very happy with my car. I think we should rev this season up ASAP. Will the entrant numbers (or lack there of) hurt us when it comes to starting the season? If so what can I, as a competitor who wants to get a proper sports car championship underway, do to get this thing rolling, get folks out etc.? Oh well, just thought I might conjure up some of my fellow competitors feelings so we can push for our first green flag of the season. As it stands now, this whole lap time thing seems really, really enticing. By that I mean, yeah, alls well to get some guys out putting in times but, this doesn't mean much to me now that I am comfortable with the car. I don't much feel like pushing for all out speed anymore. I'm rather content staying where I am in terms of times, and getting ready to go long distance. I am holding my cards near to my chest now, you know where I stand in speed officially, but where is my best effort? Was that it? For me... I want to start testing out my car over long distances with things like tire wear, and fuel consumption on. If it is okayed by admin I will begin testing tommorow. I have a number of tire combos and the like I'd like to try over given race distances. Let's get this thing underway!! I've got ants in my pants, so to speak, I need to get some sort of an initiative re-programed into me. I know how quick I can be and the disclosure of that information most likely will not come forth. Let's giddy up and start racing for points.

I gotta tell yah, I'm with m.piedgros on this one man. I gotta get racin' too!

Not long now 'till the clock strikes 00'00.000, huh? Well, it seems things have cooled down. I.e. no action over the past three-ish days. I suppose I could hand in a final [and "pole" grabbing (in GT1)] time.

1'02.206

Blindingly fast :scared: and really, really fun. 👍 :sly:

Lets see if that brings some attention back to the shootout we had here a couple days back. I realize I have been impatient. But now I'm lonely, and I need a buddy to chill with  as we wait for green flag racing.

m.piedgros

Umm... m.piedgos I beat your time. I got a 1'01,822. Sorry:nervous:
I'm glad I was able to post to night, I almost had to have my brother post this time for me, becuse I thought I wasn't going to be on.:indiff:

Let me guess, Toyota GT ONE? If so, HAHA! I beat your time. (With the GT ONE) as you may have read in the Sign-Up and info thread. The Toyota is at a considerable advantage and may be adjusted to better fit the regulations of GT1 or promoted to P1.

m.piedgros

P.S. It was a 1'00.xxx.

I would also like to mention that, as I understand, today is the last day to enter times. Also, admin, will we be racing next week?
