i finnaly got my V1 radar dector, just after my jammer was taken, good thing they didnt see my scanner, but any way, i just got it a little bit ago but the bogy counter really helps is spots where others jusp beep x band, mine says 4 bogys or what ever it helps, well worth the $350. i sugest you get one if you speed or are paranoid, good radar dectors.
 
I hate radar scanners. They are so annoying. The second you turn on ur car they go bleeeeeeeeeeep beep beep skreeeetch beep... I just cant stand them

You are so hyped up about this, I can't understand you. . . Plus the use of the scanner and radar detector leads me to believe you race on the streets, which is really not a smart thing to do. . . "4 bogys"?? you mean 'bogey'??? Where are you from so we might be able to understand why you are having trouble with the english in your post and so no one pokes fun at you

I make the trip from here to Portland and then back again about once every two weeks... its a one and a half hour drive if you stick to 5mph over the speed limit. Increase that to 15mph over and you're only looking at saving about 8 minutes max.

I guess I just don't see the point in risking a ticket or having to pay $350 on a radar detector to save a few minutes. It's only going to save a substantial amount of time if you are going a long distance, or if you are going way over the speed limits.
 
I paid $70 for my Cobra 3 years ago, doesn't make any noise at startup, and it has saved me several times. Most of the roads around my house are "Double Fine Zones" and they'll get you good. Oh, and I don't street race.:p
 
Someone Dutch please confirm/deny this, but I've heard that if you're stopped by Dutch police and found to have a scanner/detector in your car, they will confiscate it.

The car, that is.
 
I don't like radar detectors. I do speed, but usually I don't go much over or I make sure that there's someone else around me going the same speed. :)

We have good luck while speeding...we also watch the road closely for any signs of cops(people jamming on thier brakes, hidden areas, etc) and act accordingly.

Kind of what I was thinking. I've never had to hit my brakes or be nervous because I saw a police car.

They (V1's) have saved a couple of my friends numerous times through the years.
 
About 6 months or so since my last ticket, I've learned to calm down on the roads. I rarely speed. I think the only thing better than the exiliheration of a quick burst of speed or see how fast you can go, is knowing your within legal limits and that cop sitting on the side of the road, can't touch you.

So if speed kills then why a radar device anyway ?? thats got to be a valid point !
 
i dont street race, i drive a 96 240, the joke in my sig is speed kills drifve a honda live forever, hinting that hondas are slow. i drive the freeways, and drift, in sucluded places.

Ive worked too many hours this week to understand sarcasm. plus Ive gone through interview at work yersterday and that really took it out of me, and Ive a 12 hour shift to do tomorrow.

but back on topic - you've got a radar for the car 👍

No such thing.

Some scanners are actually legislated by the Dutch authorities.
 
my dad once got pulled over because he was driving and a big truck passed him and was speeding and there was a cop who thought it was my dad and my dad got out of the ticket because he told the cop how there was a truck bigger then his car that was speeding by him and the radar must've got the truck
 
That's happened to my dad 3 times. He actually managed to break free of his ticket in court once when the cop told the judge the caught truck was a 'blue' truck. My dad showed the judge his registration where it showed his truck is actually teal. He got off with just that HAHA.
