Sorry for starting a new thread for this, but I figured it would be easier than trying to track down the relevant posts in the general discussion.

I just wanted let everyone know that the GH2 controller now works on the PS3. I've been using an old Rat Shack PSXtoUSB adapter to play GH1 for a while now, but since the v1.8 system update, GH2 works too. The only catch is that the whammy bar still doesn't work. It's mildy annoying but not a real big deal for me.

I also wanted to mention that the latest round of adapters by Pelican, Nyko, etc with the PS button are reported to work as well but you lose the ability to do hammer-ons/pull-offs (& no whammy), which to me is a huge deal breaker. HO/PO's work fine with my old adapter.

Anyway, just my $.02.
 
Don't buy the Pelican one. It's a pile of...🤬

Apart from not being able to HO/PO, you can't navigate menus and there is a ton of input lag. The first two problems are because the frets alone don't register an input. Its as if strumming completes a circuit and allows them to work. But it works just fine if you use the same controller on Frets on Fire (PC).
 
I just bought the Pelican adapter. PIECE OF ****. Don't buy it. I wanted it to play DDR with my pad, but even that did not work with the adapter.

I've heard of people modding their guitars with the Sixaxis. The whammy bar still doesn't work though.
