"gumtape deathmatch" drifting

I just wanted to share with my fellow drifters a new game that me and my friend came up with. I'm not sure if you guys have seen InitialD but we got the idea from an episode where Takumi gets his hands tied onto the steering wheel.

So we started trying to drift using only 50% of the available steering. Its actually not that hard but its really helped me practice steering using the gas and brakes and not with the steering wheel. I've been getting really bored of GT3 and now me and my friends are trying to come up with stupid ideas to keep us entertained till GT4 comes out. Nway, I hope some of you try it out, its pretty fun.
 
you can try to twin drift. that should keep you busy for some time. or you can do some tricks 360 into a drift or even 720 into a drift. gt3 is boring now. =(
 
options
1. Play GT3 With Others
2. Teach Others How To Drift
3. Start Game Over and Try To Beat It
4. Make A Movie
5. "Challenge ppl"( NK4e )
6. Get A New Game
7. Go Drift In A Little Red Wagon
8. Play GT3 at the same time your online ( use tv card)
9. Race/Drift At Other Peoples Houses
10. Make A GT3 Meet with your friends
 
its called "Go get a life"......well, go out play sports or something, and stop playing video games till GT4 comes out, go get a job, and make money so u can buy GT4, go hang out with ur friends, go to the arcade, or just drive around.......practice GT3 till GT4 comes out, or do everything ToyataDrifter said
 
teach the girlies about cars and drifting.

then wait till she asks you if she can do it in her civic/lancer/other Japanese girl car.

and depending on the situation,

a. dump her.
or
b. drive into a traffic cone and get ejected from your car.

Do you guys drift with the steering wheel then?? I never got one but is there any way i can still drift well?? you see i just cant stop playin DarkAzN lol
 
well, since GT3 has been boring me, i put 10 bucks down and reserved my copy of GT4, and im getting an AE86 in august, so ill be drifting in both worlds!

EDIT, i havent been on these forums much cuz i havent been playing the game much, ive mastered it so well theres nothing left, i guess GTP will be quite barren till GT4 comes out. ull see more of me then

no. i don't use the steering wheel. you can use the analog or d-pad. i personally like the analog. i can basically do everything that the wheel can do except the smooth counter-steering. all you need is a bit of practice and you'll get it.
 
yep, playing on same courses with same cars for years now. i killed my boredom by buying WRC and found some really sick touge roads in that game. two thumbs up...but besides that still waiting for GT4

yeah same here, im been playing socom online , that i hardly play gt3 only sometimes when i come up with a idea i play it
 
I guess it directly translates to 'gum tape', (just rewatched again) but we use duct tape. I've never heard of 'gum tape' here in the U.S. outside of IniD.

(btw I think Tokyocrap changed it to duct tape, am unsure since I am not in posession of those episodes on DVD... yet.)
