I've managed 2 or three full circles at Gymkhana in a stock Cizeta, but not between the painted circles. I was showing between 45 and 50mph, the steering was on constant opposite lock and required very little correction, and the slide was maintained by manipulating the throttle pedal. The V16T just seemed to find an easy equilibrium at that speed and cornering radius. Eventually my circle's radius would get too wide and I'd strike the barrier, but it was fairly easy in the Cizeta and quite repeatable - and I'm not a talented drifter. I was on N1 tyres, I think, though it may have been N2s. Oddly enough, I could do it in a clockwise direction but could not get it right in an anti clockwise direction. I would either spin out or regain rear wheel grip.
I haven't managed it between or around the outside of the cone circles in any car.
Fifth Gear's method looked much like that used by Autocar Magazine in its earlier Powerslide contests, which it holds annually and is often won by a Lotus development driver called Gavan Kershaw (yup that's how its spelt). Mr Kershaw has also appeared on Top Gear, showing Jeremy Clarkson how to drift an Elise S2, though apparently he is not fond of being in the limelight. His car control is, by all accounts, exceptional.
