So I just left a room and it was flooded with hack cars. It seems as tho every one owms some of them. I know about them and how people make them but I personally have never driven one or made one. Are they fun to drive? Just curious to see what people say about them. :dopey:

Indeed they are. Breathes new life into a near-dead game. Realistic swaps and such add replay value to the game. Unrealistic 100,000+HP cars are frowned upon and usually result in being kicked. Many hosts welcome realistic hacks into their lobbies for cruising/photoshoots and such.
Things like this include simple things such as a drivetrain conversion or engine swap, to full-on replicas, such as the RedSuns RX-7, or Tsuchiya's AE86 Levin race car.

That sounds really cool actually. Lol. Makes me want a 1000hp Charger RT.

It's a bit against the rules here to talk about these things, but I have driven a 1000hp rotary GS300. It's properly fun to drive! But stupid '999' cars are just pointless. I don't hack myself, but I always like to try out different interesting hybrids.

I never really wanted to Hack myself. I always stuck to the tune yourself what you have rule. Lol. I just want to see what they'll do is all

I prefer REAL Hybrids I've been working on some and some people have been making decent cars.

I made the Hybrid Car 1/4mi. Leader-board. Some cars are real, others are ridiculous, but still we've seen some nice replicas and others.

I just made a 1064 HP F-150 that does 9.6's in the quarter with just an engine swap!

They can be very fun, since you dont want to make them, if you have some friends with them on share, try them out loads of fun!!!

I will do that then. I just want to experience something new in GT. Lol. Never hurts to try new things in racing. And its not that I don't want to make one, ita just I don't have the required equipement to make one. Haha. If I did I would make one. If I could have one made I would trade two cars for it.

If you get the ingredients right, they're unbelievably good fun.

450bhp MG TF engined, RWD Mini

(Apologies for the quality, but my DVD recorder decided it didn't want to do anything the day I recorded this, so this was on my phone)

I just want to borrow one off a borrow list to try. My friend has a 299,999hp X1. Lol. Can't drive it at all

Some hacked cars, or hybrid which they call, are sometimes hard to drive. If you have a wheel yourself and test drive a 1000+HP car, your wheel might just wobble too much.

No wheel here. Haha. I use my ole DS3. I am actually better with it that a wheel cause I used a friends once and sucked with it.

@Smuttysy, that Mini is WICKED! :D

I've been a bit busy building some very realistic hybrids based off of real-life vehicle options, such as a diesel-powered Golf V. Making exactly 105HP and tipping the scales at an accurate 1,469kg, I can lap the 'Ring in about 9:52 on Comfort Soft. Very good car to drive.
As some have pointed out, power isn't everything when it comes to hybriding. Some hybrids are as simple as fitting adjustable aero on the Amuse S2000 R1 (which PD forgot to implement) via a chassis swap, or fitting a 7-speed paddle shift gearbox into your BMW M3 GTS replica.

Some on the other hand like to go a bit wild with their creations, like stuffing an Impreza 22B Flat-Four into an old Bug or the infamous V8-powered Miata. Great fun can be had with hybriding. It can be quite addictive though, so only build when you've got free time. ;)

Might be the setting of your friend's wheel...

One of the first ones I made back in 2.11, and the first one I remade when it all came back, lol. Definitely a giantkiller!

I'm so gonna add you. I wanna test my luck against that Mini of yours. :D

I tend to build to a motto of "plausible" hydrids. "Could you physically fit xx engine into this car in reality?" Hence why this only has the motor from the MG, the Rover K Series 1.6, which I have regularly seen in real cars featured in the various tuner magazines here in the UK over the years. I leave the "ridiculahacks" to the kids, I can have more fun running around in these than I ever could just grinding a barrier for 30 seconds going 999+mph. I got that phase out of my system back in March when it first kicked off, and never saw the appeal back then either!

I gotta hand it to you guys, your very crafty. I have a car idea for you and its very reasonsble. I will trade you a car if you build me one. How about the 440 bigblock from the 70 Charger RT in a new Challenger? Or the 426 Hemi from the 70 Challenger in the new one? Sounds cool to me

I can take care of your first request, just send the details to me in a private message 👍 .. And for reference, if you are ever in need of another hybrid always check here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=273160

There is more than enough of us to get almost everyone something built 👍
