I always fancied myself as a fast GT driver, so had a little crack at some laptimes at Eiger Nordwand last night. I used the Intergra type R, Pro physics, manual gears, no driving assists. I completed about 30 laps, and managed to get a low/mid 1:17 - which is about 300 or so fastest as per online rankings.
It was tough, my shoulders and hands are still hurting! lol
I was using the controler, and thinking if a steeering wheel has any advantage. I think with a bit more time I can get a mid 1:16 but to get a 1:15.2 which is the lap record, jeez I don't know i can improve anymore. It is tough, and there are some serious players outthere.
I would like to see how the guy at the top of the leaderboard would do in a race, and also how consistant he would be with his times. I was doing countless high 1:17s laps, and think this would be hard to beat in a race, tho wondering if he was doing consistant 1:15s, or was it a one off magic lap!
I will have another bash tonight, how do you guys do on that track with an Intergra?
