Had anyone had this problem?

My cars are quiet when I use the cockpit view, but when I look to the left inside the car, there's the original great sound of the car I used to know and love. And when I look to the right, I can barely and sometimes can't hear the engine but the wind noise comes out just fine.

For example, the Mazda 787B lost its screaming engine sound, and now that 4 rotor Wankel engine sounds like a Prius with a high-pitched whine. And I haven't even tuned my 787B, I just bought it. :confused: Has anyone else experienced this, and have you found a way to fix this? I hope I'm making sense here.. Help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe its your speakers? try putting it on mono to see if it works then. :) That or your drivers like me and deaf in one ear :lol:
 
I tried that and it didn't work, I knew it couldn't be my speakers because when I would look to the left inside the car the sound would be normal. Looking forward or to the right would make my car's sound quiet and and I would hear more wind noise and a whine as of the car had straight cut gears or something. Hate this glitch, makes the game pretty unplayable. I guess that's why I haven't touched it in weeks.

I've had this problem since update 2.02, it's starting to get really annoying now. :grumpy:
 
Always look to the side then. New challenge :D
 
I have a friend that recently had this problem as well. He didn't bother to try to find a fix yet as it only happened yesterday.
 
So I guess there's no fixing it. Man, this sucks.. Hopefully update 2.03 will come to the rescue and fix this bug. Thanks anyway ellis and Nish.
 
What kind of sound system do you use?

The engine sounds are more accurate after the 2.02 update,some cars ie the 787b have side exit exhausts only on one side.

watching replays also this is taken into account with the audio noticeably louder as it should be on the exhaust side.
 
Yes its all about where the exhaust is on the car, maybe even what side the driver is on. This is all after the last update with improved sounds.

I mean, the 787B doesn't sound like it does anymore, I can't even hear the engine. It's nothing but a high pitched whine. Plus, looking to the right drowns out the whine and I'm left with pretty much nothing but wind noise, and to the left, there's the sound that I'm probably supposed to be hearing. I wish I could upload a video, but I don't have a capture card :banghead:, I should probably go buy one. But I'm sure this is a glitch. And doesn't the 787B have the exhaust in the middle of the back of the car?

what people fail to realize is once a car reaches a certain gear ALL you hear is whine ... my uncle and i have been in lambo's and Ferrari's going 190 + mph * Vegas was awesome!!!!" and at 70 mph and under you cant here the engine ..
70-112 ish you can here the engine after that its just a sick whine .. the air muffles the crap out of it tho so =D reality check for y'all , may i add helmets also pad the noise..

No, it's not that. Again, I wish I had a capture card.. All I hear is whine, even at low revs. I think I'll buy a capture card soon so people could understand me better.
But for now all I can describe what's going on is hearing nothing but high pitched whine while looking forward inside the car. And when I look to the right I can barely and sometimes can't hear the engine. Looking to the left, the sound is normal, like it's supposed to be. And this happens in all of my cars, but I'm using the 787B because it sounds the worse by a mile, because I can't even hear the original engine sound.
 
I have this problem about the external sounds and engines.
 
I have noticed that good sounding speakers do help car sounds in this game. Yea they need a drastic upgrade but it seems like they sound there best in 3rd person. I find movie mode to work.
 
Try driving with the left window rolled down :lol:
 
Have the same problem too but i can't put sound on mono.
