Had to quit endurance halfway through..ps3 now jacked

hey guys, i was doing the ring 24hour and had to quit, it was on all day for the most part, pausing and what not... but... when i had to leave and said screw it ill do this later because i was gonna be gone for 2 days i turned it off.... i came back to my ps3 not reading games or DVDs..... grrr... is there anything i can do about this? i dont have a lense cleaner disc so i have yet to try that.. but damn...... if sony and pd make a game where u have to have it on for more than 24 hours like that the system better be able to handle it....
 
Do you have more than 1 account on your PS3? If you don't create one then log into another account and see if you can load a game (try a different game) I had a similar problem when my PS3 shut down while at work due to power going out. After different game loaded GT5 also loaded. Also make a back up of your GT5 save game first in case thing go real bad.

gt5 save backup is done, but thats the least of my worries.... i just hope my system isnt a brick..... and i tried the other account thing 2, only thing i havent done.. is the "format/restore" and the disc cleaner, i may run out to best buy and pick up a lense cleaner....
 
hm... if you look at more threads, it's very common that either the lens, or the YLOD is going to happen.... so if you can back up your data, do it ASAP... probably think about getting a newer PS3

I also have the gen 1 "Fatboy" I loaded gt4 into mine when I had my troubles and I'm thinking it took several tries before it loaded. You did turn the PS3 off from the back switch and left it off for a few first? Can you tell if any disk is spinning when you load it? Try loading a disk and listen without any other noise so you can tell if the disk is spinning or just going into the PS3. Also try playing a demo if you have any on your PS3 that might get you back running again, Just a few thoughts that might get you going again.
 
hmmmm lol, ur gonna laugh, i put in a dvd, i didnt feel it spinning..... so i was like wtf... soooo i took it out, put it back and, and smacked the top lightly, and heard it kick on... everythings working now.. but thats never a good sign... sigh


edit, nvm, just reads dvd's now.. WHAT THE HELL!
