Picked up the game yesterday. Played a bit. Any tips on setups and making enough money to buy the car to compete?

Here's S1. Had to buy a car so never driven it before and I don't like restarts so I didn't do it when I span off or when I lost a tyre 👍

@knukken: great videos. Nothing tests your skills like blowing a tire and finishing the stage on a tricycle! I set season 3 to allow stage restarts (but not event restart) because a lot of us were just buying 2000s rally cars and we're trying to get used to them, plus still trying to tune in TM wheels since the last patch. I'm still trying to dial in my T150 wheel to get it setup like it used to be. Since the patch, my FFB and steering is crappy. I've crashed out of three events in a row. Before the patch, I only had one vehicle totaled in 100+ stages.

@Alex: I'd recommended short calibrating you DOR for your wheel. 540 degrees seems pretty good, but try even lower DOR to see how it feels. You want tight steering, but not too twitchy. You shouldn't have to crank the wheel 2 or 3 rotations to get thru a hairpin turn. I think I set my linearity to 40%. Also, map your ebrake/handbrake to your R2 button rather than the circle button. It's hard to find the circle button when you're cranking the wheel thru a hairpin and want to use the ebrake to spin the car. Plus, practice the Scandavian Flick for older cars, like Group B. If you're in a 4WD car and get in trouble, get back on the accelerator (not the brakes!) and let the 4 wheel drive pull you out of trouble.

I'll go with whatever the settings are, just doing it how I want to if possible (no restarts and careful driving) I like the challenge of not doing restarts.
