I entered my local blockbuster and I thought "I guess they wont have any Halo 3 copies left." So I went inside, and looked. There were 3 copies left for rent of Halo 3! I mean, I dont know about you but when I go into a blockbuster to rent a good game, there are no copies left. So I was amazed.
Oh, there were 3 copies of Halo 3 left, but there were no copies left of Spongebob. I guess some people prefer Spongebob than Halo! Lmao.

So, I guess I was lucky/unlucky, why? Because, I saw 3 copies left, I could have rented it, but I dont have a 360. :D
That sucks, right?!

Honestly, I think that anyone who wanted to play the game just went and bought it outright. It's got loads of replay value - who wants it for just a week?

I rented it for 3 nights. Completed the whole thing on normal in 1 day (after being screwed because of the no auto-save). Its seriouly short. My mate did the whole thing on the highest difficutly (heroic or legendary i forget which is better) in the 1st day or 2, its pathetic.
Played the online a little bit to see what all the fuss was about, im not a huge online player (only other game i played online is Rainbow 6 Vegas), and it really did litttle for me.
I guess if online is your thing then good for you. But i never thought that much of Halo anyways. Am glad i rented instead of buying.

I'm not sure why anyone would rent Halo. The game is a buy since one week of playing it online isn't enough.

Yeah, my brother bought it and completed it in about eight hours or something. I haven't played it yet (finished both of the other Halo's) but hopefuly will soon.

Only thing i hate about the Halo games is The Flood. Like seriously, i just try to run through the levels they occupy as fast as i can. :nervous: :D

We don't play online because the broadband speed in New Zealand is i think the slowest in the developed world, all because one company (Telecom) owns all the lines and refuses to fully unleash them. :grumpy:

Normal's easy - play it on Heroic. You'll get twice the hours from it.

People would rent this if they have no interest in online play, simple. I think its disgraceful they can release a game that on its default difficulty (normal) is completable in 5 hours.
Online play does little to nothing for me. Its something i will do if im bored, maybe.
Renting this was enough for me.

My mate from worked got the came yesterday and he wants to take it back to the shop to get his money back.

Here's the thing: half of what Halo is all about is the multiplayer. This isn't just a game that's primarily single player with a neat little multiplayer mode tacked on - the multiplayer is what half of your purchase is going to.

If you don't like the multiplayer, that's fine, but don't blame Bungie. You wouldn't blame EA for making Madden because you don't like football games, right?

Edit: Also, last night I played some co-op on Normal, and frankly it sucked. You really have to play it on a harder difficulty to really get the intense gameplay, but it's a lot of fun once you do.
