Well, it was bound to happen. Granted, Microsoft isn't whoring out Halo like other companies have with other properties (Spider-Man, Simpsons, etc), but its certainly a tasteful representation of whats coming up.

Here is a link to the rundown...

I'll sum it up for you:

Mountain Dew

There will be a new flavor called "Game Fuel" that will reportedly have a citrus or cherry twist in flavor and will pack a greater caffeine (30% more) punch. My guess is that it is the Jeff Gordon Energy Drink in a Halo 3 wrapper, but I could be wrong. Still, the photo of the Halo 3 Dew box is pretty cool. I'm sure it will be worth money...

7-11 Stores

Similar to almost every promotion, there will be a special Slurpee flavor (probably the "Game Fuel") with special cups and such. Furthermore, special packages of "Game Fuel" and Doritos will be made available only at 7-11. The Doritos bags will have a contest in which consumers will be able to become voice actors in Halo Wars, due in 2008.

General Motors - Pontiac Division

GM will be creating a special-edition version of either the Pontiac G6 or the G8 (the website shows a G8, the website talks about a G6) to promote Halo 3 at different events across the country, and eventually the special edition car(s) will be sold or given away. There will also be special cross-advertising for the cars and the game (think of this summer's "Transform Your Ride" deal for Transformers).

(This one gets me most-excited, particularly if the G8 pictured is true. The head-scratcher is that the G8 isn't supposed to arrive until November at the earliest, but I would suppose that any exposure is good exposure... And if the car is good enough for the Master Chief, it must be a damn-good car!)

Burger King

The deal at BK is a bit more secretive. They are offering what they call "Survival Kits," but don't give any detail as to what they are. Maybe some special kind of Whopper with a special kind of drink? Problem is, BK uses Coca-Cola in their restaurants, so they won't be using "Game Fuel." Otherwise you get the standard Halo packaging on bags, fountain drinks, wrappers, etc and a few other BK-exclusive sweepstakes.

Sweet. Sounds good to me... Less than two months left until release!
