Handbrake mod messed up the x button

I added a handbrake mod to both my G27 & DFGT controllers. The handbrake actually worked, BUT for some reason the X button/acceleration is NOT working properly!!
Would anyone know why? Could it be something as simple as not running the wire out of the controller properly or something beyond that?!
Guys, ur help is highly appreciated coz I've been working on this for over a month, & all the unscrewing & soldering is a pain in the ass!

Is it just the X button? Also, can you post some photos of the soldering and, the guide you used to do the mod and/or an explanation of how you modded them if you didn't use an established technique?
