Handling and Tuning

Just a wondering, am I the only one who purposefully doesnt get the tuning perfect?

What I mean is for example I recently fully stacked a Honda S2k, now it handled pretty well default, but I stiffened some things and dropped it and got some faster lap times.

However I then knocked the suspension just a bit so it wouldnt hold the road 100% and required just a bit of planning and fight to get the perfect lap.
 
I'll never do this by settings, but by race rules. Give me race suspension and I'll set it to perfection. Ban race suspension and only allow sport, fine with me, but I'll get as much from the sports kit as I can.
 
Sort of. I tend to use stock parts (or cheaper Sports suspensions) before I'll go with a full-racing set up. I only use the best parts for the races that actually require them.

But I don't "badly-tune" my cars. They'll have a few flaws I'll need to work around perhaps, but that's mostly because I'm too lazy to spend hours tuning them out. If I had the time, I'd go for more perfection, but usually I just wind up going to Mad Finns or some other tuning shop and trying their set-ups if I start getting desperate.
