for me as an icehockey-fan he is one of the most famous players ever and i also want to gratulate him for winning over his cancer

i think the greatest is/was Wayne Gretzky, he has made/broken so many records, like no one after him. Mario was often named "The next One", because he was also very talented like Wayne.

It's debatable, but I feel that he was the most gifted player (physically and mentally) to ever play the game. If Lemieux had his health and the supporting cast that Gretzky had on the Oilers, he'd have just as many records.
