So god damn lucky.

If that was me I would have landed on a cactus.

You only get that much luck, once in a lifetime. So I won't be winning any lottery soon. :)

Lol, must be some kind of world record :)

Here in belgium 1 woman didn't get so lucky. Her parachute and reserve parachute failed to open and she fell to her death in someones back yard.
Oh yea, did i forgot to tell that the investigators think it's a murder?
They found evidence of tampering with the parachute.

It's a bit different, since this dude didn't have a structure around him to protect him when he fell.

Yes but he also didn't have a mountain to collide with..

Very lucky man. Yet another faulty parachute, this is why I never ever want to skydive, ever.

Here's the best quote I've ever heard from a skydiver "Skydiving is the safest sport. In all the jumps all over the world, in all this time, ain't noone not come down."

famine how is it that she fell 10000 metres when she landed on a mountain so she didnt fall all that way for all we know the mountain could have been 7000 metres high and also the guy may of set a world record for highest freefall without a structure etc to have survived

I've lost count of how many 7,000+ metre tall mountains there are in the centre of Europe...

He's also outclassed by at least 4 WWII fall-survivors, one in excess of 22,000 feet.

Better tell Mont Blanc, tallest mountain in Europe, that there's another mountain in Europe nearly 3000 metres taller.

Goddamn it, Everest has gone walkabout again. This time its holidaying in Europe.

I can only think of four mountains over or around 7,000 feet, Everest (China), Kanchenjunga (India), Nowshak (Afghanistan), and that one in Argentina. Note, none in Europe

Edit: Treed:ouch:
Edit 2: The one in Argentina is called Aconcagua and is, according to Wikipedia, 6,962m - this makes it the highest mountain in the Americas.
Edit 3: Does Communism Peak count as being in Europe? That's about 7,000m
Edit 4: According to Wikipedia (the only thing on the web which even approaches Famine's usefulness) there are 109 mountains taller than 7,200m, none of them, with the possible exception of Communism peak, in Europe.

I know this very attractive girl who had a happy landing on her face once.

Why did it have to be a blackberry bush, though? Thorns...

Thorns.
