Happy Valentine's Day to GTPlanet.net!

Well, a bunch of girls had flowers delivered during classes today, and I feel so bad b/c the girl I like got flowers from another guy and all I gave were 2 Hershey Kisses.:guilty:

But at least we talked, and was me who got/gave the hug at the end of the day.:)

It's not about who gave her more for valentine's day. It's about who she's keen on.

True, but she's not dating anyone either.

I can't tell if she has a little "liking" for me, though I'm sure her friends (some I know, forunately) have told her I do, of course.

I want to ask of course, but it's not nervousness, it's about the things I can and can't do if I enter a relationship.

This seems to be another topic anyways.

I'm taking my GF to the school dance tomorrow... (Tickets are 60 bucks each! )

Also, I got her a necklace, pretty cheap for around 50 bucks or so...

Valentine's Day is getting expensive... :nervous: Remember way back in elementary school, where you just had to everyone some candy and a tiny card?

The usual, chocolates and flowers. I got her pink and red tulips. She's not into roses. I got my boys bags of chocolate candies, and some toys. The oldest pissed me off, though. Apparently, he doesn't like Peanut Butter Cups as much as I thought. He wined, sulked and then sat in a corner. He's such a dramatic brat, sometimes, but he's a great kid.

My wife cried. We just lost her sister a few days after my birthday, recently, and she's into porcelain angels now because of her death. I found one on the internet that looks like her sister with the same name. I should have given it to her after work, because she had to spend some time to compose herself. Maybe, I shouldn't got if for her at all. This day is suppose to be about love, not loss. I'll do it right, next year.

I'm sick as a dog, so it's been a bad day for me. I can't get over how emotional my wife became, and then feeling sick really is adding on for a depressing day.

I got nothing, but that's by choice. I don't need chocolates, and I like giving flowers, not getting them. I did mention, however, that the local gun store had a sale on ammo, and I'm running short on .38 Special and 9mm (two calibers I don't reload).

Well, mine went relatively well. She felt bad enough to start crying because I got her something and she didn't get me anything, even though I told her I didn't want anything. I pissed off the 2-3 other guys that like her. Hahaha. She like ME *****es. Anyways, I got to comfort her and all that for the "brownie points". She wore the necklace today. woo.

Oh, and she showed all the popular girls the card I gave her. Everyone seems to keep trying to remind me how sweet it was. AIM made my computer crash. Hehe. Oh well, so 2 sentences in a Hallmark card made her melt. Well, my 2 sentences. LOL Then she's gonna wear the necklace just to piss the other guys off. Good Valentines Day. Better than the one two years ago... breakups on V Day suck.... especially when she turns around and goes out with a friend. Lesson Learned. Hope everyone had a good V Day. Guess I'll stop my stupid ass rambling.

Oh well, my valentine's night just started. I got my brother here with me, some beer and some music. Nothing more, nothing less, we are complaining about life and things like that. We both have girlfriends but we both have problems with them (funny coincidence).

Ah well, this is my life, what do you know... lol

Cooking a meal for my gal went down soooooo well.

People listen to anderton and my own words. COOKING FOR YOUR WOMAN CANNOT FAIL. She melted at the sight of a decent meal cooked just for her. It wasn't expensive either to do and I still have left overs for a while.

She hates knick-knacks (or in her words - clutter). Try again. :)
Meh, not like I expected to understand a woman I never met when I hardly understand the one I married. Anyone have a womanese to English dictionary?

Ok, so they got there. 3pm. My phone rang, I looked at the website, and as i was reading delivered I heard, "There so pretty!"

3pm was pushing it for me, but at least they got there.

Oh, and this site I used shipped them direct. I tried the local thing, they can never find her office.
And you are at peace again until her birthday/Christmas/anniversary, whichever comes first. Feel free to find a bar this weekend and join me and all the other men out there in a celebratory drink.

She will probably cherish that gift more than anything else you could have given her. I am sure her emotional response felt akward but she probably doesn't feel negatively towards you for it; I'm betting it is the opposite because it was a thoughtful gift and not a cliche.

My V-Day went well. My wife got up early and made me breakfast, then her flowers arrived at work early in the morning. Then I got home and started making her favorite dinner, chicken and dumplings. From scratch this is roughly a 2-3 hour process. While I was doing this she went to visit her grandmother because her grandfather had died only about a month ago and then she took her over to her parents' house. Dinner was finally ready at about 8:00 and we ate. She loved it.

Then this weekend we are going to a fondue restaurant called the Melting Pot. That should be close to a $100 meal. After all this she had better let me go to that new restaurant with 110 beers and their World Beer Tour contest.

Agreed. Nor was I looking to you for suggestions. Just showing you the potential jam I was in. :)

If you find one of those dictionaries, send me 2. I'll give one to the wife. I think she'll like it.

Happy Valentines Day GTP.

I have confusing emotions for all of you.

I would try and write one with my wife but the only words that get a positive response are "Yes, dear."

Bought my wife a Atari 2600 'woody' with Space Invaders off ebay. She thought it was the best present she'd ever recieved! (apart from her engagement ring)

- you've got to think 'outside-the-box' when it comes to gifts, chocolate and flowers are so unoriginal. Get them something they don't expect.

You have no idea how much my wife likes both chocolate AND flowers.

Does your wife have the "must have chocolate" mode too?

She doesn't have any other mode. :)

We're watching TV one day and all of the sudden she gasps and covers her mouth with her hand. I look up, "what's wrong?! what happened?! who died?!". She points to the TV and it's a commercial for Hershey's Kisses with penut butter. So I got her some of those for VDay.

They all love flowers and chocolate, like men love beer and porn. What i was saying is that you get so many bonus points for getting them something they a) love and b) don't expect.

Well my girlfriend had a little surprise for me as well. She made the hour and half trip last night so we could spend the night together.

Never expected it. Matter of fact my roomate asked me if I was going to drive over there to visit her. That would have sucked.

Anyways, we ordered take-out, and stayed in together and watched the Olympics. Kinda nice.
