hardest car to drift

A lot of people on this forum have asked "what is the easiest car to drift?". So, I figured i'd go the other way. What do you think the hardest car to drift is in your opinion? ( excluding the motor carriages and front wheel drive vehicles ). I'm just trying to get the feel for what the toughest car to drift is. obviously there is no ABSOLUTE answer to this, as everyone sets up their cars differently, and whats tough for one person, may be a walk in the park for others. whats your toughest car?

DRIFTN
1881 Mercedes.
Fully Worked 1kw engine just doesn't seem to cut it.

That was mine...

Other than that...

The Firblade isn't the hardest car to drift, but I definitely don't really enjoy drifting it... The Mustang GT took quite a few full settings buildups to get right, but now I consider it one of my favorites (probably since I spent so much time with it)... My current problem is with anything FWD... I used to slide around FWD's in GT2/GT3... I can't seem to figure it out in GT4...

Hardest...

Daihatsu Midget

;)

my impreza drifts quite well, and im a total drift-noob.. have you checked the setups thread

since the impreza is about the only car i use (bought the '96 impreza at the start) but ive seen peple say the RUF yellowbird is difficult to be in control of

I've found the Camaro SS is both the hardest and easiest car to drift. =\
You have to work really hard to break the back end loose, even on N1's, but once it's sliding it'll kust keep going and going and going. :sly:

All you've got to do in the Impreza is lift off when coming into a corner and it'll drift nicely.

I reckon the Yellowbird is pretty easy to drift too.

Least obvious hard car to drift? The Nismo Fairlady Z-tune (or something, the one with the red/white pattern on the hood). That car just grips and grips.... I can get the tail to step out for half a second max :s

Other than that: Daihatsu Midget, the daimlers, 2CV, any FF or crazy underpowered car really.

KaffeinE 86
I find myself inable to drift Impreza's. I've tried all sorts of settings, but Subies don't like me drifting them.

That was my first drift car heh.

Well the hardest car for me is...

DUN DUN DUN~

The Honda Element

Wha?? The cappuccino is awsome. I love drifiting that car.

Also, drifting a WRX should be easy, well in REAL life thier ECU uses traction loss to compensate for understeer, whereas the EVO uses mad YAW control. But I've drifted them both in GT4 and they both seem faily workable.

Honesty, I haven't found a car yet that I thought was hard to drift with. I'll let yall know once I find one though.

It's super easy on other courses but the ginetta g4 drifting on the nurburgring is TOUGH STUFF.

It bounces high over every bump and letting off the gas sends it into massive oversteer.

Nissan R34 Skyline. The one with the black hood. Without turning up the ASM for understeer prevention, I find it hard to drift with that car because it has really bad turning power and each time I enter a corner, I feel that the wheels are locked up.

I rely on counter-steer and the rear wheel to push me towards the exit. I'm very comfortable with the 91' FC-GTX.

NISMO Skyline GT-R R32

Both are quite easy to drift... I would count them as both being in the top 20 easiest cars to drift in GT4...

The R34 GT-R N1 Vspec (black hood) is one of the most user friendly AWD's in the game, in my opinion... If you need help with settings, check out my N1 Vspec settings in The Drift Settings Depot...

theres alot of them. i would say the hardest is the Lotus Elan S1
Did you do any weight reduction? Bone stock it's got that nice old school slideyness, but if you even get stage 1 weight reduction it sticks like a starving leech.

luftrofl

Yeah, it's fun; I did the 1000 miles in a 100hp, min weight G4. I think I would have died of boredom in any other car. Every lap I'd try doing Schwedenkreuz flat out, more often then not I'd land in the grass, but it was so rewarding to nail it.

Dude, I know, any car can be tuned to drift, but I was assuming stock suspension settings with N2 front and rear, in which case you cant get it to slide at all. I do 90*angle + drifts in that car. It rocks once you figure out how to set it up to get loose.

Also I'm very inexperienced with AWD whereas you are like the AWD DRIFT CHAMPION OF THE WORLD, man.

some of the imprezas piss me off haha but um so far the hardest car is probably the EVO 1, I tried drifting that thing and all it does and get angry and do 360s.

uh, easiest car has to be MR2 6-speed haha off topic but yeah.

the Trueno S.S. is hard to maintain a drift because of its lack to accelerate and just lack of power, the Elise is ub3r easy...i dont know what you guys are talking about Scoobys and fwd's being hard to drift. Scooby=buy a vcd and set it to 10-Front/90-Rear my 22B drifts great, and so does my Spoon Civic..thanks to my little friend, the e-brake :P

The subbies tend to understeer in stock form....FF is not a drift platform...The trueno ss has more then enough power if you use the revs...That is to say Keep your revs within the high powerband...and yes the e-brake is your friend.

O the hardest car to drift is the one you've never tried.

I love drifting the cappo but I wasn't in the mood for another ID battle against a AE86

Agreed on the Trueno SS... That thing is now officially my WORST drifting car... Long gear changes, lack of power... UURGGG,,, YUK....

The lotus Elise M Sport went from being my best (DS2) to my worst (DFP) lol.. but I guess it's just cause I haven't spent much time with her lately?

I havent had a problem with that car.....I actually think its one of the less fussy cars to slide.

I think the F1 is hard to drift..... :scared:

I gotta admit I didn't spend a lot of time with it, I just found the Nismo Z versions way too grippy (in a sort of positive way :dunce: ) to bother with ;)

BMW 2002 Turbo...

Yeah right - I love this car.

How about the Cizetta. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to drift this POS, but it's hard to control when you're trying to keep it in a straight line, so I imagine it doesn't hang-out too well, even with some setup changes. This car doesn't like minor corrections... :scared:
