Which series or group of 3 races did you find the most difficult?

Belive it or not I thought the f1 series race was rather easy, just long. By lap 4 or 5 (the lap I pitted on) I had a 18 second lead. Then when I came out I was neck and neck with number 2 player. Then at lap 8, 9 or 10 I pitted with him, but I was about 10 seconds ahead. So each race was easy.

The bigger series such as Gran Turisimo All-Stars and the Japanese Series where just long. All-Star series was harder. I did both with a Corvette c5r and won fairly easy.

But the hardest race was...
The Pro Spider and Roadster. I had a tough time figuring out what car to use, and winning the damn thing. I first bought the cobra and fixed it up. I won Monaco (I choose to do the last race first) the 2nd try. Then off to Trail Mountain, or Deep forest, forget which one. And won that one by the 2nd try. But then Grand Valley. I kept trying and trying but could never win. Then I tried the slk 230. No Luck.

Fanilly I decided to buy the Griffith. Then, I won with ease.

One other thing that pissed me off is the computer uses the Elise Motor Sport, and he is my only real competition. But the Elise Motor Sport doesn't classify as a qualifing car. When I looked through was was aloowed the name wasn't there. Elise 190 was, but not the motor sport. I even bought one and fixed it up. Tried to enter...no luck. The computer cheats.

But I beat it.

What was your hardest race?

You think that's bad, then you're gonna love the Professional FF series. Stupid Beetle Cup Car, RRRGGGGGH. :banghead:

Anyway, I think what gave me the most trouble was the Amateur Dream Car series. Those LM cars can smoke most of their modded road car counterparts, so I never really did well in it until I gave up and busted out the Raybrig NSX on them. Now that I've got an Impreza LM, I'll probably go back and run the series proper just to clear my mind.

The Swiss Alps II rally races were a headache too, as the place is so dark in the more critical areas that it's hard to tell exactly where the track is going. And yes, I did try turning up my TV's brightness. No, it didn't help.

yeah smg, i had that EXACT same problem.. hehe
welcome to gtp, enjoy your stay here!
Yes Oh Yes, I do remember that one
Now a days I can manage it pretty easy now. I did it a second time so I could get a green supra.

BTW- I'm 100% done.

I didn't like the Vitz Pro, or the F1 Formula thing.

the formula gt championship was probably the most fun i had in the game. why didnt you like it? i beat it with an f090/s so i dont think having a slower car would wreck the experience.

AdvanR you read my mind...
i absolutely LOVED the F1 championship..... the only race i skipped was the last one... 78 laps @ cote... eurgh..

i found myself really struggling by the end of the series to still stay ahead of the 94s in points. my f90/s had lost more than 100hp probably. when i got to the test course race i skipped it. i couldnt imagine what another 200 miles or so on the car would do to my oil. i still havent done that race yet. it would be extremely boring.

i had the most fun ever in the game at tokyo r246. i had way to little power to keep up with the 94s on the long straight, so i had to be close enogh behind him on every lap to draft him for the straight. if i got within drafting distance i could easily pass him by the end of the straight. i had to keep this up for the whole race. one mistake and i would be 2nd. that was nerve wrecking. incredibly fun though!!

haha do the test track race of f1 GT in the escudo with wheelie trick on selotape X down and watch TV >>>>>>GENIUS<<<<<<<
check every ten minutes. But make sure you get a good lead at the start so they dont catch up.

omg i forgot about that. haha, i did that with the like the wind race. im not sure if an escudo would keep ahead though. how do you do wheelie trick? and also, you dont need to tape the button down. just change acceleration to be the right analog stick moving left in options. then just hold them togetther with a rubber band or the controller cord.

I really hate the vitz, professional, but you guys are right, the f1 championship is so fun, i am only on the third race in f1, wish me luck, lol, i have an f094/h, lol, you could tell by my username i guess, i'm so stupid!

get the vcd. it helps more than anything. you can make it 95%rw/5%fwd. or 90/10 i forgot. I heard form someone lese that at high rpms the tt basically becomes front wheel drive. with the vcd the tt isnt half bad.

I haven't even attempted the F1 series, even though that's all I have left to 100%... I've been caught up in OLR lately.

Of the races that I have done (everything else), I found the Amateur and Pro Dream Series to be quite the bears, because the cars represented a huge jump in power versus what one is used to beforehand.

I hate F1championship. I won easily, but for the sheer length of it, and in an F1, that's boring. Doing 100 laps of Complex String or any other race with any other car i don't find boring though

nice to see that people have mentioned the 2 most hated cars in the game, are the series races they really hate too. Like the TT Series, as one of u said, and of course, the F*kin yaris ( vitz) series in pro. It was easy enough i think yeah,k but boy was it boring. like 17 mins or more to do 10 laps of the Rome Circuit... F*kin rediculous.. and SOOOO BORING !!!!!

im doing clio and id rather be doing vitz...........lotus was almost fun......."CARS BORN TO RUN FAST!!!!!"-Clio Intro Screen:D :D What a joke

 I haven't seen a Pink Vitz race yet...

i actually had fun in some races......formula GT is ok and it dont seem as long as it is......hehe i got 4th in superspeed way cause i thought id be smart and pit on the last lap........stupid me:banghead:

I haven't run any of the Pro series yet. To date my hardest series has to be the Amateur GT Allstars or the Amateur GT World Championship. The late-series AI boost is exceptionally heavy-handed in those two series. For instance, I won the All-Japan race at R11 (my worst track) in a totally stock Raybrig NSX with an average lap time of 1':59.395" and a race margin of 5.397". On the other hand, I needed 230 more horsepower and an average lap time of 1':54.164" to beat the same cars on the same track in the GT World Championship, and it was a much tougher fight with a closer margin.

I originally tried the GT AS in the C5R (which I learned to hate in just a few races) and the GT WC in the CLK touring car (which I learned to love). The damn JGTC cars all drove like they didn't have brakes, and needed to use mine. I could usually qualify on the pole but my lead would last until the first turn when I would get slammed and spun. That would be fine if things were equal, except that deliberately rearending them at full speed resulted in a minor deviation in their course and a major wipeout for me. So let's see: they hit me, I lose; I hit them, I lose - yeah, that sounds fair. I did win both series on points, but I skipped the last couple races in each. It was not fun racing, unlike the All-Japan series which was a lot more fair and a lot more cleanly run by the AI. I swept that series in the stock Raybrig NSX, and didn't skip any races at all. Immediately after winning the All-Japan series, I went back to clean up the others since I was all practiced up in that car and on those tracks, expecting that my improved driving had made the difference... nope. I had to add NA 1 for most races and NA2 for R11, and the AI was obnoxious in the extreme. So it really is the programming that makes those series annoying.

I ran the Amateur Dream Car series as almost my first Amateur-level races. I won them in a stock ZZII on T4s and recall having fun doing it, though my notes aren't as good from back then (and I know my driving wasn't either).
