i just went in to check it out and omg... it's a series of 15 freakin endurance races!!!! against all f1 cars (duh) ... which isn't that much of a problem because i got two of them in my garage.... but jeezus... high double digit and a few triple digit lap races???... and 15 in a row!!!!

is it just me or does that seem a little bit excessive??? maybe challenging to some but discouraging to others??

has anyone actually gone through it.... am i missing something that makes it seem like it would take more than a week to complete?

Its not really that hard if you A-spec, But I B-spec-ed some because of time. Its was actually more of a challenge for me to win on B-spec.

I'm six races into it right now... Qualifying for all of the races just to see what kind of lap times I can pull, B Speccing many of the races, but I am running A Spec on most of the tracks that were not in GT3.

Honestly, it is not presenting much of a challenge beyond the length of the races, athough le Sarthe was a bit tough. Cote d Azur is next, and I'll be B Speccing that one, as doing it twice in GT3 at 78 laps each was enough, thanks. Not to mention I destroy the AI on the track. In qualifying I was almost six seconds faster per lap, not even a great lap, and my tires were only green. I always turn my best lap the last one before they go red.

I was just going to start a thread ranting about this series. The AI cars suck, I can qualify 1st for every race on my first lap, I'm 21 laps into the seoul race right now (b-spec) and I have a 9 second lead. 10 seconds now...11 you get the point. b-spec x3 is all I have to say. It's a pitty, because the F1 car is so fun to drive, but w/o any competition what is the point? I have won every race so far, and I've only had to do a couple stints on la sarthe in a-spec (my b-spec driver spun out so I had to give him a "margin for error"). At least GT3 let you take a slower F1 car to challenge yourself. I guess I could do it with an LMP, but that would seem totally out of place. Bottom line: boo to PD for making waht could have been the highlight of my GT4 experience a waste of time for completion %.

long, but I'm looking forward to it, I mean cmon, driving an f1 car for hundreds of laps and smoking the competition, I might a-spec it all!!!!

Sounds like a fun series, besides the arse whooping part. I just love to do lots of laps in fast cars. I'm really looking forward to Le Sarthe. :D

I'm not complaining about the laps. I'm complaining about the competition. If there was good competition, I would have done 500 laps at all the tracks, but since the competition sucks, I just want it over with and I would rather it be 5 laps.

spose, I dunno, haven't tried ne f1 cars in gt4, but if they are nething like gt3, then I will just drive for the point of driving, btw, there is only 1 f1 car right? and r there ne mods u can do to it?

1 car. No mods, no oil changes. It has customizable susp., tranny, downforce, etc. But just like in GT3 you only get racing medium tires.

Edit: it never needs an oil change from what I've seen and read, just to be clear.

My F1 hp has dropped from 904HP to 891HP so far, I'm currently at Fuji in the F GT series. As far as the F1 AI goes, Laguna Seca has to be the worst, it seems every car spins out on the second to last turn every lap!

no it hasn't.

check your settings screen. There is a descrepancy because on the replay the HP is listed in PS or some other form of measurement. you do not loose hp in F1 cars period full stop.

YEAH i know that always happen to me 👎 👎 but i always changed 4 (fast) to 1 (slow) everytime before second to last turn on laguna seca so my girl won't spins out, i won it by 7 overlap :) 👍

Well I checked and yes I guess I still have 904HP, but if PS=Pferdestärke, then that would be 916, so I have no idea what exactly is being measured as 891. Thanks for the info.

PS: This game is starting to remind me of GT2 with the weirdness.

well, I'm finally done with it. I skipped the last 5 races since I had won the first 10. Got a cool 3 mil plus the sauber c9

Days: 435
Cash on hand: 7.6 million
159 days and 900,000 credits for all the black beauties :)

EDIT: gt3 had weird torque figures - cars had 800 hp and like 3.68 lb-ft of torque - something to do with conversion (again).

just curious... since you skipped the last 5 races does that count towards your completion %?? or is it just that you completed the series in first overall that counts towards the completion?

and the 4 black lmp cars.... are great to get and have... but i was real excited before i got them... and now..... just kinda "meh"... heh...

100% completion = gold for all series and individual races. So, if you have a silver or less in ANY race you need to do it over again to get to 100% and that includes races in a series. Also, you have to start the race and exit out, so it goes against your winning percentage too.

almost done, in middle of cirque de la sole :p

first in every one so far.. except this one lol im running a bit slow (in bspec this second though)
owell.. have to see if i can pull up a good few seconds to win the race just like in missions :/

seemed kinda easy so far though

I dont think thats much at all, I think they shouldve added 3 more races to make it like the real F1. Anyhow I am gonna save that for the end, because Im going to take my time on these and I would like to do them all my self but we'll see.

lol about to finish it in about 15 minutes or less :p hasnt been a hard series..

lol whats with leguna seca.. do these AI's like.. not LEARN at all LOL they keep flying off the track in the same spot evvvvvvery lap
