I created a second PSN account to join GTPlanet's wrs. My GTP account has gradually become my main account for GT5. I have been gifting my favorites from my main account to my GTP account. I have also been sending various cars between the 2 to gain paint chips, matte black, color changing, midnight purple III, etc. Recently when I sent from my 1st to my 2nd account it wont allow me to send anything from my 2nd account saying I have reached my daily limit, even though it has been well over 24 hours now. I made arrangements to give a car to a friend and have not been able to do so yet. The car to my friend is a gift but this worries me about being able to do trading in the future as I dont want to have to deal with the confusion that I have now, not to mention it makes me look like a liar. A man is only as good as his word. I plan to gift the car from my other account for now as soon as I'm able but don't want to run into this again in the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its called the trade limit. 1 car a day, only cars under 1 million credits can be traded. But yes I've seen that. SUCKS! Just wait it out.

Yeah I get that part. But the thing is I haven't sent anything from my GTP account for days now and receive this message. The only activity I had was receiving a batch of paint chips I'd sent myself from my other account and that was around midnight Thursday.

The trading limit counts per PS3, not per PSN account. But it should reset after 24h.

Thanks, wasn't aware of that, but as I said Thursday night at midnight was the last I'd sent anything from either. And my last attempt to send was today at noon so it should've reset by now. Also I haven't had this happen before until now. I've sent a car from 1 account to the other, changed accounts and sent the same car back immediately with no problem before.

If you try to send and it doesn't allow it, does that effect the time needed to pass for it to reset?

You should be able to send by now. From what I understand it’s not a 24h period from the last car sent, but a specific deadline. You should be able to send one car per PS3 (or account) at any point during the 24h then wait for the reset then send again just minutes later. I think its midnight GMT so would it be 20:00 for you?

Anyone else use your PS3 for GT5 or have you shared your account with anyone else?

EDIT: Also, if you try to send and it’s refused it shouldn’t affect anything or reset the clock etc.

Are you sure the car is tradeable ?

Which car is it ?

And have you tried sending anything else besides this car recently to see if items are sending ? Paint chip / horn etc.....

:)

Correct. Although I do believe this doesn't take into account Daylight Savings, which means that here that would make the deadline 1:00 AM BST instead here.

To be honest, this is why I didn't create 2+ accounts.. everything is on my account and it's great to just log in, load GT5 once and do whatever I want..

The reset time is 8pm Eastern Standard Time so technically you can trade one car at 7:59, then one more at 8:01, but then you have to wait till 8 the next night to do it again.

Thanks to everyone for all the help. I was under the impression that the reset was 24 hours from the last time you sent an item. I will try again soon. Thanks again.

Actually not per ps3 per IP address.

I sincerely doubt that.

Me too. To test maybe if you don't have a fixed IP you could power cycle your modem.

I have done it before and found it was my PS3 account that mattered, not my IP address.

Not true. Me & my son have a PS3 each and we can send each other 1 car per day (He sends me a car and I send him a car in the same day). Nothing to do with the IP address. We are on the same wireless internet router through the same Internet Service Provider.

You're a bit confused mate. If it were due to the IP address you would only be able to send one car per day. Your son could send you one car Or you could send him one car but you would not be able to send each other a car each.

Each PS3 can send one car per day to a different account.

I think dixonbaps was pointing out that it’s not related to IP address.

You're right, my bad. I read it wrong. Apologies
