Well today, while I was eating some chicken, I ate a bit too much, that is a sensible amount for eating. However, after it goes down, I start to feel the choking feeling.

Good news

I was lucky to free it from my throat, just in time.

It's a horrible feeling. Almost as bad as having a really hard pointy crisp like a Dorito go down completely intact.

Had a hard boiled sweet go down in one when I was like a kid, had to pour warm water down my throat for ages!

And got a fish bone stuck and it was so painful because it was like pin sized, actually got it out with long tweezers!

Yes, two times.

First time I was very ill and I had to take a expectorant medicine to get my throat clear. After an hour or so felt a bit strange and suddenly it felt like I a tennis-ball was choking me. I still remember the terrifying feeling trying to breathe without success. My parents told me that my head was completely blue, but they called the ambulance and it arrived pretty soon (living only a kilometre away from the ambulance centre). They put a oxygen pipe through my nose and down into my trachea and possibly through the stuff blocking my throat. In the hospital they gave me some kind of diluent and said I have to put my finger down my throat and after several attempts to puke the stuff out it worked. The result was puking a slime ball as big as a strawberry.

The second time I choked a candy, but I puked it out quickly. However, it was completely blocking my throat.

You should've used your blender to chop that chicken up. Maybe then you wouldn't have choked!

Congratulations.

We all choke on something from time to time. It's just something that happens, like stubbing your toe or poking yourself in the eye. So, well done for experiencing a pretty normal event. I look forward to your report on how you bit your tongue eating toast this morning.

Jondot damn you, I wanted. To post something similar; to that. However, you, beat me, to it. I may have to kick your ass when I get my new ass kicker sometime next month mate. However, comma, incomplete sentence. Unnecessary; punctuation.

However.

Damn you to hell!

again

I choked on a fried egg that decided it wanted to go down whole still.. :indiff:

I choked on a grain of rice the other day, and my friend was just there laughing at me thinking I was faking. :(

I choked on air once, when I was about 15. Coke cans used to have two holes to pop at the top, you were suposed to pop the little one then the big one and you'd drink through the big hole. I decided to use my teeth to pop the little hole and all the air in the can when rushing down my windpipe. I couldn't breath for what seemed like 10 minutes, it was probably only 2.

I dunno if this is what Danoff was thinking, but this thread is ripe for jokes…

If every superhero has a weakness, mine would be choking on pretzels. I do it all the time, unexpectedly... You just kinda cough it up...

I've never choked on anything (like thought I was going to die choking. I choke on water all the time - I try to drink it too fast you see) but I hate it when I'm eating spaghetti and I'll swallow a big mouthful, but not swallow it all. Some goes down, but some is still in my mouth for more chewing. And I can feel it hanging in my throat - not a nice feeling! :yuck:

[BUTTHEAD]Huh huh, huh huhuhu huh.... he choked on his chicken.[/BUTTHEAD]

I think I was about 11. It was at our football team's end-of-the-year party and I was doing an impression of a T-Rex ripping another dinosaur apart with some roast beef cold cuts. Everybody (my teammates) starting laughing like mad and so did I with a mouthful of roast beef. Not a good idea. I accidentally swallowed and tried to breath at the same time with un-chewed slices of cold roast beef in my mouth. I choked on it instantly.

Lucky for me a teammate's father was a firefighter. He bent me over and whacked my back three time and out it came. Then, the team mascot, a huge dog name Bear ('cause he looked just like a grizzly bear) ran over and licked up and ate what fell out of my mouth.

I felt like I almost died.

I highlighted embarrassing parts of this post for your convenience.

...ya, you really gotta be careful about how much meat you put in your mouth. I about choked on some salami a few days ago.
