I just entered the UCD after installing the update and I think they've jacked up the prices for many of the cars. A 1997 Lexus SC300 used to cost ~$19,000 before the update when I bought mine, but another one just popped up for $32,000!:ouch: Not cool.:grumpy:

What other cars have you guys noticed a steep price increase in?

I looked at a couple of UCD cars this morning but didn't notice any price increases. Particularly the '63 Corvette and the Veyron are both the same price as before. Maybe they just fixed some prices that were incorrect in the release version?

Maybe prices vary with mileage?

Maybe prices vary with mileage?

They do. Prior to this update each individual car had a mileage which varied within a very small range (excluding the few cars which also had 300000km+ variants), but it was easy to see that as mileage went up price went down.

Following the update mileages and colours have changed completely. I've no idea whether they still vary in a small range, but it's quite possible that a car can appear now with a much lower mileage (and therefore noticeably higher price) than prior to 1.06.

Yeah, it looks like that's been taken into consideration... 53,000 vs. 9,000 miles on the odometer. But still, I'd rather had a cheaper car with more miles since miles don't seem to affect a car's performance in any way....

All I've noticed is that there's more cars in the UCD than the usual 15, it's the same in the Online dealership.

Engine power and a slack chassis. The latter taking much longer to take effect.
Of course, you could refresh the chassis and engine, but at a total cost of about 80% of the car's value.

I've not noticed the chassis refresh do much on the one car I did (a lotus Europa, trying to cure the MR oversteer). Maybe the car needs some serious mileage - it wasn't like that in GT4.

This is a good "upgrade" to the UCD, though. :)

Yes that's a good thing. :)

Since release there have always been 30 cars.

Not true, put enough miles on a car & it WILL permanently affect the car's performance.

Case in point, the 75,000+ mile FGT I use for b spec. Before all the miles went on, it used to have 935 HP after the chassis & engine restore. Now with all the miles, it will only make 928 HP after the restore. 7 HP isn't much, but it is still a permanent loss.

Good example just rolled into my ucd:

(2) Suzuki Wagon R RR '98
The first has 17,179km, 253 PP and cost 11,719 cr.
The second has 56,063km, 252 PP and cost 9,226 cr.

Very cool, imo.

Very cool for me too, and very realistic.

They should put to sell some scrapped and damaged cars :D

That would be amazing. Remembers me of good old NFS Porsche times.

I checked several prices in the UCD vs those on mygranturismo website and they all seem to be more expensive now after the update.

Rare cars and low mileage cars cost more than before. Cars with a lot of miles cost less than before.
I am pleased with the randomized mileage and colors.

Oh yes; I love the random colours - but what's the financial logic in buying with less miles if there's such a steep price increase? I know someone mentioned above that cars do start to lose an edge after a certain point, but the insane amount of miles they mentioned for an almost invisible loss just doesn't justify increasing a car's cost by 50-60 percent.

Just my 2 cents!

i know its not the UCD,but the OCD has a FGT w/ about 120km on it for 4.9m,where before the update..all the FGT had about 5,000km for 4.9m..weird.

This ^ is exactly what I've noticed so far.
