After restarting my game, I decided to stick with 1 car for as long as I can. In this case, I started with a '94 Subaru WRX STi, and drove as many races as I could with it (some 2 or 3 times). Needless to say I did not win every race the first time out. After putting 250+ miles on the car, I started using another car.....

Now to my point: I noticed at my garage, that my A-spec mileage was less than what I had put on the car. Does the game only count A-spec mileage if you win the race (and the points)?

I think the game does not count mileage driven during practices, qualifying, or races that you lost. Can anyone confirm this or has anyone even noticed?

I would check myself but it just crossed my mind and I'm at work.....

hmm.. i havent even looked at that. ill do some testing to see what i get.

the game does not add the km or miles driven when you lost a race as well as points you earned

I guess that gets counted as a 'feature', I have one quick question, once you've completed the race (winning of course) if you leave the car running (not hitting 'x' to get rid of menus) does the mileage keep going up ? anyone got any ideas ?

I've got a feeling this is gonna be hard to prove, because we don't get decimal points for the number of miles driven ??

No, I honestly think they dont count. Also the yards/meters before the race (e.g. the 200 yards or so before the Ring's start/finishing line you drive in a flying start) do NOT count (at least what I experienced)..... but as you said..hard to prove

After the race, it may keep running the mileage (I believe GT3 did also). The only problem is the odometer does not show tenths of miles....

Before the race? I have no idea...I thought GT3 did though....

I'm pretty sure that I noticed when you go to "Retry" for the race, either after you lose, or exit from the race, and go to "Retry", so not actually leaving the race, it doesn't seem to count those miles onto your car.
Haven't really noticed it anywhere else though.
