(Don't take title literally)

Just today after I got home I went on my PS3 and proceeded to play GT5. I went into some trading rooms looking for a Peugeot 905, and after about a half an hour of asking I came across the player "p13pet22". He asked what I was trading so I told him a car and he said he had it, so I threw a few cars his way until he wanted to see my Team Oreca Viper #91, so I brought it out and he brought his 905 out. Then he wanted to see my Viper Concept, upon which he decided he wanted my Oreca. And upon sending my Viper he didn't send me the car and deleted me. I always send 1ST because I'm a legitimate trader and I know it's not right to dupe, I know duping is a bad habit but in this case it saved me from losing my favorite car in the game. I will make a list of people that duping has saved from scammers and I will be the first name on the list. List your PSN and the car that was saved. I'm curious to see how many people duping has saved.

You should always back up you game save. Regardless of whether you're duping, trading, or just plain driving.

Got the Team Oreca today, such a beautiful BEAST

Since I haven't duped any cars...I guess it hasn't saved my life. :)

I thought it would be a post about how duping has saved you countless hours of repetitive grinding to enjoy more than used miatas.

Hours you will never have back of your life.

In that way, YES, duping has saved at least part of my life.

+1. :)

Same car! Oreca viper. It was a name like "trentsdad" he never sent and deleted me.

I'd hate to be Trent. I look for him online everyday and send him hate mail just cause I can.

Trade fair!

While the thread itself isn't a flamefest, these "duping" threads never end well, and the sentiment is not a new one, as this exact same topic has been covered in previous ones.

Before you trade: Back-up your game. It's even in the Marketplace Sticky.

Or, even better... do the log-off switch... as soon as you send, log-off. If your internet connection is slow enough, then you've sent a car without losing it. Evil, I know.

Sorry. Locked.
