Have PD re-instituted the 1 million credit or over trading ban yet? If no are they suspending it indefinately? Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I have not been able to independently verify whether or not it is back in play today. Someone let me know somethinig. Thanks...

I've tested it and as far as I know it is not possible for me to do it, yet others still say they can be sent.

If that was your trade today it went through. The 2nd time you try it (just to see what happens), you'll reach a screen saying the car can't be gifted.

I don't think they are talking about the ability to trade more than one car a day. Just the ability to trade a car over 1 million cr, which is supposedly restricted again.

The restriction introduced with the 1.07 update is in effect again. Any car worth over 950,000 credits is prohibited from gifting. This means that of the 1,031 cars (total value 490,000,000 credits) in the game the 111 most valuable cars (total value 382,000,000 credits = 78%) cannot be gifted any more.

Did you work that out or is that from the official site or something? Those are some serious numbers. Just goes to show the amount of credits involved and heavily implies PD's aim was to stop people making easy credits/getting cars too quickly.

"Car Cannot Be Sent As A Gift"

Just selected several multi million dollar cars from one of my alternative garages and got the message like the one above, or something like that so don't jump on me if it isn't exact. But, long story short, no more trading, duping, cloning in any meaningful quantity and very little racing content other than a few friends who run clean rooms and interesting limits for fun racing online.

As for the game being played the "way it was meant to be" hogwash. I think the idea for any publisher is for the game to be played, in the machine, turned on and played...period. With these current limitations in place my copy, unfortunately, wont be being played.

I will be practicing for the Australian Grand Prix on F1-2010. And yes, I am running a ceremonial weekend for the Bahrain Grand Prix next week to honor the people of Bahrain. Viva la racing in any form my fellow racers. Peace to all.

Race for a purpose. Grinding is for welds.
(Too late, already my sig....)

1,031 cars is the official number - additionally there are some DLC cars (that cannot be gifted, either). The prices/values can be found e.g. at mygranturismo.net.
