Has the 24 hour car gifting changed?

I don't know if anyone has noticed but I think the "Gifting" rules have changed to every 12 hours. I gift a car last night at 7pm, another at 7am this morning, and another once again at 7pm this evening.

Can someone please check this to confirm?
 
Well, I know for a fact that I've sent 3 cars in the past 24 hours from the same account.
 
You always used to be able to gift cars at any point, but you were only allowed to send one a day. I sent 2 within 10 minutes of each other. One at 11:55pm and the other past midnight.

You can receive more than 1 car a day. It is sending that has the block on it.
 
Since I have been gifting cars I've only been able to gift 1 every 24 hours until today. I've tried gifting in the evening and then after midnight and I always receive the message saying that I've reached me limit.

But today I've been gifting cars every 12 hours. I've only done this 3 times, I'm going to try again at 7am tomorrow morning.

I'm aware of that, all I'm saying is that I've sent 3 gifts out in the past 24 hours. 1 every 12 hours.

I just want someone else to confirm this.
 
I've traded at 8am in the morning and 9pm at night last weekend., so it might just be every 12 hours.
 
Well, a few days ago I traded at 7:15PM EST.
The next day I tried to gift again at 6:45PM EST, because some folks thought it was down to every 22 hours. It would not let me gift it.
Someone else said it rests at 7:00PM EST, so I waited 15 minutes and tried sending again at 7:03PM EST and that time it went through.
So, it didn't take 24 hours, but it was almost there.
I don't know if the 7:00PM EST time reset is true, or if it just happened to work for me because I was already in that time area.
I have traded every day a few minutes after 7:00PM EST since then.
I will give a try tomorrow after 7:00AM and see if it goes through, and report back.
 
Although, on my trade schedule, I didn't trade the day prior, so I think it was taking off from that, and my 9pm trade was considered on the "Next Day".

He is correct. At 6:53 PM EST tonight I tried gifting a car to my son and it didn't work. I tried it again at 7:05 PM and it did. It's 12:00 GMT. This is probably what is confusing the OP.
 
Every 12 hours would be awesome, would like to hear about a confirmation of this or if it just so happens 7pm EST is the roll over time and it's messing with people's heads.
 
This should be in the FAQ somewhere, because this keeps coming up. No, it is not every 24 hours. No, it is not every 12 hours. The trade day resets at 0:00 GMT, everywhere in the world. So in EST time zone it resets at 7 PM.

Therefore, provided you haven't sent a car previously during the trade day, you can send a car at 23:55 GMT (6:55 PM EST), then 10 minutes later you can send a car again at 0:05 GMT (7:05 PM EST). Or even, 23:59 GMT and 0:01 GMT. ;)

This has been tested time and again.
 
Tell you what, if the OP can send me can send me three fiats from the same psn within 24 hours i will send him any colour x2010 he wants :)
 
I knew time reset, but I wasn't aware that it was at 12:00 GMT.

Well, I tried again this morning at 7am EST and it didn't go through. I'm not sure what happened the first time. It must have been my timing when I sent out the gifts.

The first was probably just before midnight GMT, another at noon GMT, and another just after midnight GMT. So it was most likely just over 24 hours, essentially 3 different days. Oh well, sorry to get anyone's hope up.

3 days, but still ~12 hours....
for me, it's the full 24h cycle..
i tried it in the evening and then after midnight GMT..
guess what.. i didn't go through...
 
I think what happened was that I sent first gift at 6:59pm EST (11:59pm GMT) which would have been day 1. The next gift that I sent out was at 7:00am (Noon GMT) which would have counted as the second day which was 12 hours later. The 3rd gift that I sent out was at 7:01 pm EST (12:01am GMT) which would have counted as day 3.

So, I was able to send 3 cars out just about 12 hours apart but it was just timing on my part. I wasn't able to send out another car this morning at 7:00am EST because I was still on day 3. Day 4 doesn't start until 7:00pm EST (12am GMT).

I understand what happened and the gifting rules have not changed, it is still one gift per day.

..say what..? how are the dupers keeping you from trading..? The 1 car per day limit has been in effect long before duping..
