Has the birthday trick been killed?

I have been trying for days for a 1970 ticket, created 4 accounts and not gotten a ticket on them. All they got was a Toyota of some sort... I traded for a 70 ticket and being a n00b, did not know how to do the back up and restore trick.
 
No it has not been...
For this to work properly you need a USB Stick to reload the data if you didn't get the car you wanted...
 
the trick still, you can create tickets to 1994, I dont no know how created accounts that let obtain tickets from 1995, I have to use the trade to obtain this tickets

Well about the trick:

1. Create a new account whit the year of ticket that yoou want
2. Do the configuration of the account and obtain the ticket
3. exit the game
4. copy the save game to a USB
5. Start the game
6. Use the ticket
7. If you dont obtain the car that you want exit then exit the game
8. Copy the save game from the USB and replace the save game of the PS3
9. Start again form step 5

It still works as I just did it today for a 76 ticket. Make sure when you put the date for the ticket that you put the current date then the year of ticket you are trying to get. It sounds obvious but you would be surprised at how many noobs make that mistake. They put in their actual birthday then the year instead of the current date. An honest mistake.

Same,did it also not long ago,you must have done something wrong?
