Has there ever been a race where all cars are the same?

Except for the F1 seasonal and the FGT series, that is.

Any road car races where all cars are more or less equal? I feel we should have more races like this, but I can't really remember if there were any races like taht at all.
 
I can only think of the A-spec Lupo GTI race, but they are technically race cars. I'm sure we've had more seasonal events like this (Mini, Fiat 500, Subaru impreza?), but they have been removed..
 
Nascar in A-spec too. But those obviously isn't road cars.

Maybe the Mazda MX-5, 4 hour endurance race?
A bit long race, but its more or less equal cars.
 
Go to practise in GT mode, race other cars (same brand race), and all other cars are the same model!
It's a nice way to see what original colors of that car are available.
 
Sometimes I'll run all F40s online. Massive fun, especially when you need to sort the men from the boys.
